I bought this for my 4 1/2 year for Christmas. The first time we used it she just wanted to cut the longer lengths and did not use any other parts of it. I was a little worried. The second time we used it she worked on the projects, following the guide, for well over an hour. She loved it and did a great job. I plan to buy more kits.
We bought this at the store last night for our daughter. She is 9 and she loves it. We got it on clearance for $10.00 so the price was right for us! The only complaint we have for this is it should have more templates for it. It only comes with the 3-d and 2-d templates. The paper sticks very well to the 3-d lion.. She is now working on making some ideas for gifts. It has kept her busy for hours so far. We will be buying more of the templates in the future esp. for x-mas.
I bought this for my 7 year old. It was easy and she had a blast cutting the paper and creating her own work of art. I am headed back to walmart to buy more kits for her to use! It kept her interest and she made cool gifts to give away.
Great gift. Comes with everything you need. My daughter liked it so much, we're going back to by some of the other kits.
My 6 year old states it is hard to do and it doesn't always stick right but she doesn't give up very easy so it keeps her busy and focused and we have not had one not work on us. The 3D that they are doing now that came with the studio is the 4th kit we've been using but we tried the flat ones first. Ease in specially for the younger ones but great craft time for what you pay. We got our studio on sale at WalMart for 15dollars so great price too.
I recently bought this with the intention of using it as a "stocking stuffer". I ended up giving it to my 8yr. old daughter over the weekend. The product is simple to use and she was having alot of fun...at first. The problem is there isn't enough adhesive on the "mold" to properly hold the paper pieces in place. She became so aggravated that I ended up finishing it for her. I thought that maybe after the animal we built sat for awhile the adhesive would hold everything in place. WRONG! This toy has potential IF the manufacturer would use a more aggresive adhesive. Until then..RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN from the shelf these sit on in the store!
While you recieve a generous amount of paperoni with this you don't get squat of the sticky stuff. The 3D model base could really use more adhesive. Paper kept falling off even with fair amount of pressure applied. the flat template worked much better and created a very cute mouse. After those to patterns are used though that's it your left with tons of paper pieces to store.
This product was VERY disappointing to myself and especially my daughter (ages 6). It is so overpriced for what you get. The paper pieces would not stay on the 3D template - they kept falling off. Impossible for her to get them to stick, we ended up helping her with most of it and they still fell off.

basically,we just wound up with a big mess of tiny pieces of paper. the child the gift was for is very creative and makes wonderful art,but not with this product
