This was the generic version of unflavored Pedialyte and as far as I could tell, its the same. (I ordered it for my cat who was ill and he didn't seem to notice the difference)
The Parents Choice electrolyte solution works just as well and is less expensive as the name brand. It's always my first choice.
I bought this to have on hand on case we or our pets get sick and need it. Yes you can give this to ill pets who may be dehydrated, too. The clear variety is best to give them rather than the other flavors. Ask a vet for guidance. This is one of the things we like to buy just to have on hand just in case someone is under the weather.
Believe it or not I almost lost my 14 year old toy Chihuahua. Nobody gave any hope. I knew from all my dealings with dogs that this could help. We went and bought this and forced drops into her for 4 days. She went from lifeless to moving around. We then gave her only this not water until we saw she was recovered. Now she drinks a mixture of this with water. This happened almost a year ago. She has her bounce back in her steps.
I get dehydrated and cotton mouth due to Medication! I add some Pedialyte to my gatorade, or any sugar-free drink. It's refreshing delicious and it helps with cotton mouth and dehydration.
I use this instead of regular sports drinks after my exercise classes. It restores my energy much quicker and more effectively than sports drinks. Slightly acidic and not great tasting, but better than sugary flavored ones. I try to buy US made products as much as I can. This is an excellent Vermont made product in price and quality.
Wasn't nasty tasting and I didn't have any reaction to the ingredients. Tastes a little salty but that is it. It helps get my electrolytes back to where they need to be after a hard workout.
Great for young kids, teens, adults. I highly recommend bringing this instead of water when you're stuck traveling, in a meeting, court hearing, etc. It's discrete, does much more than water, %26 really helps prevent headaches %26 fatigue. Also, my vet suggested this for dehydrated cats (just don't go overboard).
Works great! We use this for my 89 year old mother, whom we take care of. It helps keep her hydrated and feeling better. The price is much less than the name brand!
Likes: the hydration benefits. Dislikes: nothing. The taste is tolerable. Name brand taste slightly better but not by much I feel. I always feel better after drinking so I will continue to purchase.
