I bought this for my 3 year old grandson for his birthday. He is so pleased with it! It does hold a charge and has enough power to get up a slight hill. The tires slip on grass somewhat - wish they had a little more grip on them. When you go in reverse with the cart attached, the cart does not back up well. We ended up removing the cart after a while. There are two speeds (1 & 2), and for the 3 year old, we left the guard on so it will not go into 2nd gear quite yet. That's another good feature. There is a little more assembling than we were expecting, but not complicated - just time consuming. I do recommend this product!
I bought this for my son's third birthday. He absolutely loves it. It is high quality, and the battery is lasting a long time too. The tractor has a good turning radius too compared to some others I have seen. It has a lot more power than I thought. It's nice to have the second gear when he gets better at driving. It is a very attractive little tractor too.
My 2 yr old son got this as a Christmas present and he loves it. It wasn't that hard to put together not that i helped but his papa did it and it was put together in approx 2 hrs, with a few breaks. The battery was my biggest issue when we was shopping around and this one works great, we don't need to charge it each time he uses it. My son doesn't know how to work the reverse yet and we haven't put it in 2nd gear either. the steering was a lil hard at first but now after a few times he's a pro. all in all i'd recommend this to anyone, i think the age limit thing is a lil off but then again maybe my 2 year old is a genius :-) lol and as u can see in the one picture it's strong enough to pull my husband along too :) not that i recomend that part, but if your looking for somthing on the strong side....
I bought this product for my 4 year old daughter for christmas 08 and she LOVES IT!!! She loves the two different speed and the reverse she thinks it is so cool like her paw-paw. I must admit this was not my first choice for her. We had purched the lil pink barbie bug and given that to her on christmas mornning and was very disappointed with that choice because my daughter is very tall for her age and her legs did not fit in the car. When we realized that most of the riding toys are not made for kids who are tall. This is great for tall boys/girls and whats great the seat is adjustable. And for those lil girls they could put their baby car seats and babys in the wagon.
In 2007 we purchased the J.D. Gator for our 3 yr. old grand daughter. In 2009 we purchased the J.D. Turf Tractor for our 2 1/2 year old grandson. We have had no problems with either product and they still look brand new even after hours of driving around our property chasing each other. The only problem they do have is they hate going up hills on wet grass. You just need to explain to the kids to not try to go straight up the hill, but to take it on an angle. Today I bought another used J.D. Turf Tractor for our youngest grand daughter age 1 1/2 yrs. The person bought it for his 3 young boys in 2008 and it is still running strong. The best part is that you can easily get replacement parts if your kids break them.
I bought this Tracktor w/ trailer for my son over 2 years ago. He was 3 1/2 years old and at 5 1/2 still loves his tractor. It has very good power and does well on grass and small hills when in high gear. The charger quit on it after about 8 months. I now use a 12 volt battery charger that I bought at Walmart for about 20 dollars (modification was neccesary to make it work with after market charger). I was not able to find a replacement charger very easily, except on the manufactures web site. I felt that they were asking to much, so I bought a 12 volt charger from the automotive section. The charger has been the biggest draw back. Overall the performance of the tractor and how well it has held up over the year has been excellent. I would highly recomend this product to anyone considering it for their child. After over 2 years I bought a new battery which ran me another 50 dollars. The old battery was no longer holding a charge for very long. If the new battery last for another 2 years it will be well worth the extra money. My daughter is 17 months and although she can not ride it without help she is already enjoying riding around like her big brother.

I researched them all and this one that I chose seems to be well-constructed. My son loves it; he's two and within 20 minutes seemed to have it figured out. Drives well both on concrete and on uneven ground. Have not yet allowed my son to try the 2nd gear. Seems to be well worth the money, although we've only had it about 3 weeks. Great for any child with a love of tractors. By the way, my son gives our dog rides in the trailer.
So far it has been great, it was a Christmas request from my son and he's only been using it since the 25th of December, but he loves his tractor. It goes a little faster than what I thought, but it's really great. There are a lot of parts and it took my husband a long time, but overall we are very pleased with it .
I purchased this tractor last year for my then 2 year old grandson. In the beginning we kept it in first gear so that he could learn to ride at a slower pace. He then graduated to second gear. We now have a tough time getting him off of it!! He has other ride on's but this is his favorite. He loves the trailer on the back and fills it with sand. The only gripes I have is that it gets stuck sometimes because the tires are plastic, so it spis in gravel. But he actually likes that part, so not to worry! Also it is kind of diffucult to get to the battery for charging. You have to un-screw the top panel, remve the battery, then repalce it. But, all in all it is a great littlle ride!!!
