I just finished using this batting in a baby quilt. It was great to work with. Very even in thickness all through out. It sewed like a dream with very little lint residue inside the bobbin casing. The extra wide width makes it great for bed size quilts- no piecing. I plan to buy more of this batting when I finish using this bolt.
I thought I was a 100% cotton batting snob. I thought that 100% cotton was THE BEST but I was wrong. This batting is a very good weight and much easier to wash without freaking out about shrinking cotton batting. It also very easy to work I wanted to buy another bolt for the many tops I have made but never made into quilt sandwich but unfortunately it is currently out of stock 🙁
I make a lot of quilts for Quilts for Kids and we are required to use low loft batting. This batting fills that requirement. It is a good quality batting that stands up to repeated hot washing. It can be pieced together to use up small pieces. The quilts I make for Kids averages 40x50 in size and I can get about 10 quilts from one roll. At this price that is less than $2.00 a quilt. I can't get that by buying a crib size package anywhere.
I was buying this batting on line in the bundle pack 96 x 9yds for a around 20 dollars. Well its no longer sold on line and you cant get it in the bundle at the store unless you want to pay 3.99 a yard for it . I was using this for charity quilts it was a reasonable price and a good quality product. It 1/4 inch thick and lays like a thin white blanket . Its even all the way thru the bundle with no tears or holes in it . I wish walmart.com would put this back on line in the bundle it was a great value for the money
Very nice product, working perfect for my current project. Anticipate it working well for all the quilting projects that I plan in the future. Nice to have a bolt of batting to work with instead of the precut bagged batting that I have purchased in the past. Great price also.
I like making many baby quilts at a time for those in need. This time i made 30 of them with donated materials and quilt batting from Walmart. Now each one will be hand quilted and will have a long, loved life.
This is a perfect weight 100% cotton batting for my placemats, table runners and ore. It holds up well when the finished product is washed.
it was adequate for the quilt. The width was perfect.
Price was good and the polyester batting suited what I needed it for. However, I cut a large piece (66” x 96”) for a quilt and found a section about 15” wide across the entire 66” that was so thin your finger could go through at the slightest pressure. I'm very disappointed and just hope I don't find any more thin areas. This five and a half foot wide piece is now useless for the quilt I'm making!
The listing stated it is “white” in color. It is not white but off white as the normal batting comes. I'm making several white on white quilts and the off white discolors my white fabric. Guess I'll do more searching for what I'm looking for. Shipping was fast.
