These scissors have a great grip for ease in handling, they are comfortable for me to hold and for my child who is 7 years of age. The scissors open and close with little effort. That is great news when cutting paper. The blunt tip gives a real sense of safety to me as a mom trying to allowing my son to be independent with scissors. The blunt tip also keeps him from accidentally hurting himself when cutting paper. They also have a limited warranty. The warranty is a nice extra because you never know with children's school supplies or crafting how long they will hold up under young hands, this gives me a feeling of confidence that if I needed help with the scissors Schoolworks would help this mom out! I received these scissors as a part of the Spark review program.
I work in a school and need this type of little scissors constantly. Theses seem sturdy, have a nice grip, and cut nicely. They are perfect for little hands but work for adults as well.
My daughter's birthday was coming up and none of my scissors were anywhere in sight! These little gems came in and saved the day, cutting through wrapping paper and gift bags with ease! Would definitely buy again because now I know my kids will be set for school with these scissors!
My four year old is just learning to use scissors and these have been great for him. They are comfortable and easy for him to hold. He is having so much fun and is so proud of himself and all of the different shapes he can cut out with these scissors. They cut smoothly. They work well on all different types of paper, such as copy paper, construction paper and even adhesive vinyl. The brand I received is Schoolworks, which is different than the description for this product. The description also says it includes a sheath, which the ones I received did not include a sheath. Either way, the scissors are great and function as they should with comfort and with the added safety of the blunt tip.
looking for "back to school" scissors and have a kid in Kindergarten or early elementary age? Buy those! Good size, comfy grip (soft), blunt tip but sharp and cut well. Everything your kid needs. Also - lots of fun colors to choose from :)
These scissors a nice size for little hands. They are effective enough to cut paper smoothly while not easily cutting little hands. They are also fairly easy to clean up.
These scissors work well for small hands. My 9-year old is able to cut comfortably with these scissors. The comfort handle gives the scissors a soft feel. The scissors produce a nice clean cut, and the blunt tip will hopefully prevent accidents, especially with beginning cutters. Overall, these well-thought out scissors are a great first pair of scissors for beginning cutters.
I tried the scissors out and I liked them. They cut good and were comfortable to use. Unfortunately my daughter wasn't as fond of them. She said they cut good but that she didn't like how they fit her fingers. I found them to be safe as well.
We received these Pen and Gear School Works Blunt-tip Kids Scissors (5in) and they will work just fine for my son for the school year. I do wish the handle had a little more rubber in it as it is a bit uncomfortable even though the package says "squish-grip handle" they don't really have much "squish" for delicate little hands. That being said, they cut well and have just the right amount of tension to make cutting a breeze for kids. They seem well constructed and durable for all the times he'll drop them on the floor throughout the year at school. Overall we're happy with these and they will get the job done...he may even get 2 years out of them.
