It was so easy and quick to put up even comes with the nail to hang it. Easy access door for cleaning out. Either in an hour from putting it up a bluebird moved in!
I am very pleased with this bird house. I have 5 on my property. Been using for over 4 years now. My first one lasted 4 years and I just replaced it this winter. I have had Chickadees, Bluebirds and Titmice build nests and fledge their young. I like it above others I have seen because you open it from the top. If you buy one that opens at the bottom you are not able to open it to observe the nest and the growing babies. With this bird house you can VERY carefully open the top and peek in to take pictures which I have done over and over again quickly and quietly so as not to disturb the babies. It's cedar so it holds up well. It is easy to clean. Just open fully and wipe out the nest and insides. I would definitely recommend to others and I have bought 3 more to put away for future use. They are also very affordable. Hope this helps you make your decision.
Just purchased 7 more of these. Reasonably priced and the construction is good. We have 3 others that have been up for 4 years and have held up well without any issues. The bluebirds (and the swallows) love them.
This bluebird house worked so well that we are now watching our second round of babies this year! Just don’t place it near any trees or shrubs. Bluebirds don’t like it.
Birds like them. I wasnt sure for awhile but after 2 weeks the birds decided to move in. I have purchased four total and mounted them 5-6 ft high. Three have blue birds (in fence rows between fields mowed for hay) and one Carolina chickadees (on an old post near an old pear tree).
I had a painting birdhouse workshop to go to and wanted a birdhouse that would last . This one is cedar so it will be perfect!
I ordered 3 of these and 2 came in perfect order. Well-built and good value for money. The one that came last and shipped separately came with the roof not nailed in all the way and we had to fix that ourselves. I dont know if it was damaged during shipping or if it just wasnt well made. Overall, I am happy with them. They are amazing value for less than $10. Amazon is selling the same thing for $30 each. I separately bought some metal plates to go over the entrances so that pesky squirrels dont chew their way through and make the opening larger.
Like that its built with cedar last longer, size to have room up to five in nest. Also easy to clean with front flips down. I have purchased three so far.
I ordered 4 birdhouses. I like the birdhouses but 2 of them had about 2 inches of the front edge of the roof snapped off during shipping. The break is very clean and the pieces were in the shipping container. I will not send these back because I can glue them back on. Walmart shipping should find a way to support the front edge of the roof during shipping.
Very nice boxes. Shipping is sad though, I ordered 3 that ended up being delayed 3 days past when advertised and one of the boxes had a broken roof board. Other than that, good boxes at fair price
