Detailed product description

Pennzoil High Mileage SAE 10W-30 Motor Oil is engineered for cars that have accumulated more than 75,000 miles and provides proven wear protection. As your car ages, leaks may develop and cause higher oil consumption and burn off which is why your engine might be needing frequent top-offs. Severe oil consumption and oil burn off may also cause other issues, leaving deposits on the internal parts of your engine. Pennzoil High Mileage motor oil is enhanced with an outstanding combination of special conditioning seal agents and additives to help stop leaks from aging seals, reduce the oil consumption that is typical of older and worn engines, and helps prevent sludge and other damaging deposits. Pennzoil High Mileage motor oil comes with free warranty coverage of up to 10 years or 300,000 miles* (whichever comes first; see Warranty Information below)). It meets or exceeds the following OEM requirements: Chrysler MS-6395. Meets or exceeds the requirements of the following industry specifications: API SP-RC and all previous categories; ILSAC GF-6A. For a full list of equipment approvals and recommendations, please consult your local Shell Technical Help Desk and always consult your owner’s manual.

Pennzoil has been the only oil.

Pennzoil has been the only oil I have ever used in my trucks, and our family cars for the past 58 years of driving. My second car was a 1962 Pontiac with 385,500 miles on it, and my 1995 F250 Ford that I drive now has, 288,950 and is still going strong! So thanks for making a very good product.

I bought a 99 Corolla brand new original owner used nothing but Pennzoil. Now 19 years later and 370,000 later , well what can you say. No leaks and doesn't burn any oil. High mileage is the way to go.

The best high milage oil

I found that using this oil in my 1997 Camaro works the best. I tried every other hi mileage motor oils and no other stacks up to this one! The whole engine runs very smooth and it really quieted my valve train down. This oil is best for my ride I wouldn't trust anything else.

High Milage oil does make a difference

I started running the Pennzoil High Milage several oil changes ago And almost immediately could tell a difference in how much smoother my 85 Chevy 350 was running. This truck was my everyday work truck for many years. It was worked hard everyday pulling a trailer loaded with equipment and that took its tole on my engine. After retiring the truck I kept it to restore and keep in the family. This has brought my oil pressure up almost 10 psi and has made me change my mind on taking the motor out to overhaul it. I will now just fix some small leaks and clean it up just to see how many miles out of it now. Thank you Pennzoil for this product extending the life of my engine that is now @ 235,000 miles and figure I can get that many more at least. I will let y'all know how many that becomes. Thank again! Durable High Mileage Oil

I've used many different brands of High Mileage Oil. I'm old school I change my oil myself. At oil changes I noticed that other brands of oil felt like canned lubricant oil. Towards the end of the oil change cycle my oil pressure would not be slightly lower than usual. When I used Pennzoil High Mileage Oil it felt the same coming out of the oil drain plug as it did when I poured it into the crank case. The oil pressure was never affected with Pennzoil. My brand of oil is Pennzoil simple as that. Always has been, always will be. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Pennzoil Synthetic Blend

Very good product for older vehicles. I switched from regular oil to synthetic and found that it "blrw by" the rings very easily. Then, I tried the synthetic blend. A very good substitute. The blow by stopped and I got almost as good as full synthetic.

'99 LEXUS RX300 - 174K

Switched at 170K to Pennzoil 5W-30 High Mileage... 1) Up until 168K I had been using Pennzoil or Castrol synthetics. 2) I just changed at Toyota: - plugs - coils - plenum gasket - valve cover gaskets - front VVT solenoid - coolant NOTE: Pictures of front valve-train show differential heating/drain-back of oil. Right-hand side to left (towards timing gear) the color is "med-amber" to "brown," no sludge, but some "crusting"; above average in cleanliness, BUT what appears to be a design error in even oil flow. First highway trip after work by Toyota dealer engine used 3qt of Castrol 5W-30syn in 700mi. Stuck ring?! (Note: most it ever burned was 0.5-1.2qt synthetic in 3,000-3,500mi; have owned the little truck since 48K) Post atypical oil consumption: 3) Put in Castrol 10W-60 syn...NO oil loss on road trip of 900mi. ZERO loss. 4) Followed with 4:1 Pennzoil 5W-30 High Mileage + Marvelous Mystery Oil. (rolled around town for 1 week to clean out engine --first time) 6) Changed oil to correct weight & filter (Penn 5W-30 High Mileage + Toyota factory filter as usual) 7) Second road-trip to same destination, 900mi...ZERO oil consumption. NOTE: Toyota mechanic and I know the engine design and sludge problems associated with this engine class. My oil change interval since purchasing has always been 2,500-3,500mi. plus I change the coolant per the recommended time/mileage. Main engine seals replaced at 90K with timing belt. (Did not replace valve guide seals.) MY MECHANIC (former NASCAR Master Tech, now with Toyoda'r, recommended switching to conventional high-mileage oil to see it is would solve the recent consumption. Switching to Pennzoil appears to have done just that --no consumption. CAUTION: I have been told that once you switch to high-mileage oils to never switch to non-high-mileage oils. Apparently the oil seals once they "swell" need the additives to maintain that state. Heck...Pennzoil High Mileage seems to work and it is totally inexpensive! The Toyota oil filters are good for 7,500mi. I think I will just drop the oil every 2,000-2,500 at the local outdoor place before changing the filter at the 5K mark. I am off the extreme long life of keeping my precious Red Line ester-based OR Pennzoil Ultimate synthetic oil in the pan for some extend period (which for me was 4K/oil change). ---I am just going to do the OCD guy-thing and change my oil every 2,000 with this Pennzoil. Why not?!! -David in NC 3/2016

RUINED MY CAR

Walmart in Orlando, Florida messed up my vehicle. My vehicle was in great condition until we took it for an oil change and soon as we left my car started stalling and now it will not crank. You cannot reach anyone in the claims corporate office. They make you pay for towing and for a mechanic. This is unacceptable. I am getting a lawyer.

My wife waited for an hour for her oil to be changed and was told that she had three other people still ahead of her. She then decided to leave to get the service done elsewhere. Don't offer a service if you don't have the workers to complete it in a prompt time.
