After looking at other options and reading the reviews for other tie-out cables from Walmart, Amazon, and Petsmart I decided to purchase this one for our new puppy. It works great for him to run around in our yard since we have not yet put up a fence. I like that the cable can be removed so that you can take the cable to another location without pulling the stake out of the ground (I attach it to an eye that I have secured on the frame of the garage so the puppy can hang out with me when I work in the front of my house). It has been out in the rain and snow so far and no issues as of yet, even if it does break for the price I can replace it and still save money compared to other tie-outs on the market.
I love this Pet Champion tie-out cable and spiral stake. The spiral stake needs a firm grip and a little muscle power to screw it into the ground enough that it doesn't wobble, but the full circle no-tangle feature works great. I have a small dog (12-15 lbs), so in my fence-less yard, the 25' cable allows her to roam pretty much wherever she wants in what yard I have. She loves the outdoors, and I can keep an eye on her from my office window. I would definitely recommend this product for those who have no fence and those who cannot put up a fence. This product comes in different sizes, depending on size/weight of your animal.
I bought this to use on a camping trip. I have a 48 pound Aussie mix who took off on a full sprint after a deer and the stake stopped her short even though the soil was somewhat sandy and the stake wasn't as stable as I would've preferred. Highly recommend.
This was at a great price and it is durable for the 40 lb puppy we have. He finally has given up that he is going anywhere. Our pup is a house dog but loves to go outside and hang out so when we are not able to go with him this works well.
My 60 lb. very active dog is already cable trained so we had no problem keeping him on this tie-out. It was pretty easy to install *says the 44 year old woman who installed it.* We will be using it on ALL travel trips so that we can take our dog.
We bought this for our little dog to go out. We don't have a fence yet so he needed to keashed. This allows us to put him in his tether and play.
This is a good value, and quality tie-out for your pet. My dog loves to be out in the yard with me, and now he can without worrying about him going after a cat! Very happy with this item.

Works great so I got 2, 1 for my dog and 1 for fishing.
Took my 25lb heeler just under 8 days to bust this stake. The cable seemed to hold but the stake was worthless. Those girl dog neighbors were just too appealing for him.
