I would definitely get this if you have an energetic cat/kitten! When I first got this my kitten wouldn't stop attacking it! It was definitely more entertaining for me then her. It made her stop clawing the furniture and such so that was great. I would get this especially for the price!
I love this product. I am new cat owner and I purchased this product. I placed my cat upon it to scratch and he's been scratching there ever since. I highly recommend this product. At the time of purchase, there wasn't a variety of colors to choose from but it was at a GREAT price for my tight budget.
My 8 week old kitten loves playing with this scratching post and can't resist climbing it every chance he gets. Good product for the money, though i agree there wasn't much of a color choice
i just got a new kitten and he loves this. i got it cause it was really cheap. he loves to play with the spring on top and scratch. once in a while i have to sprinkle some more cat nip on it but other than that its a great item.
it should only be used for kittens not older cats. the best recommended ive heard is a 31" sisal scratch post to extend there body. this product doesnt do that aT all. i really use the word ONLY FOR KITTENS. very wisely. i have it but most definately not permanant. i would recommend it but only for kittens.
I thought this post would prevent my cat from scratching my furniture but it totally hasn't. When I first got it, my cat rushed over to use it to scratch on. However, it is WAY to light and cheap and slid around on our hardwood floor whenever he touched it, so he finally gave up. Also, the 'catnip' that it is supposedly coated with doesn't seem to work at all since my cat doesn't even like playing with the ball at the top and he is normally loves catnip. This product is cheap and terribly made.
