This is the 2nd Remington kennel I have bought at Walmart. By far the best price for this brand. I used kennel to have a pup flown from Kentucky to Oregon. I was able to order the crate, have it delivered to the breeders house and my pup flown to me in it. Very easy. This is a tough attractive crate. It will be the only brand of crate I buy in the future. And at these prices, Walmart will be the only place I will buy it from.
Was looking for one like my two I have in the picture, but love it anyway. So roomy and tall in the newer carriers. My cat loves it because he can stand up on all fours. 😻fast ship...
Its solid and will last forever. The size works well for my 50 lb. Aussie. The solid plastic is too hard a surface for long distance travel. It would be great if there were an optional pad for the bottom. My wife spent hours cutting down a Walmart 30x40 pad and now we have a nice 3" foam pad and the dog is safe and comfortable. I would have paid much more to get one with a custom fitted pad.
Big plastic dog crate. Does the job. Need the fancy ones? Go to Orvis catalogue...I wish they made these with a little window opening in the back--would be useful on many levels. Delivery company delivered it scratched and outside in the rain, but not the product's fault. Came with all necessary pieces to put together.
The 24" kennel does not match the picture. The item image shows it being held together with plastic quick-release clips, and 4 corner bolts to secure it. However, the actual item has no clips and a dozen bolts. Additionally, when assembled the door did not latch properly: the hinge point was off a bit and the latch did not align with the hole. Because it's plastic you can push the corner to make it fit but this shouldn't be necessary. It's also problematic because it seems like it latches behind a rib, which may explain why others say the door can pop open suddenly. One of the fastener holes was also not cleared properly so a screw wouldn't fit through it.
very poor quality and also arrived broken.
first issue was that I paid for faster shipping and it took longer to get to me than the free shipping would have. then it was difficult to put together. some of the holes were not punched out through the plastic and the two piece "screw and nut" type fastener is harder to use than the single piece ones I have on my other kennels that I can put in with one hand and turn and they are locked. worst thing was the quality - the wire kennel door was warped and it is a real pain to open and close since top and bottom does not line up with holes without extra work adjusting and pushing on it. I would not buy this product again and I am looking for a better one to replace it with already.
It was broke when I received it!
I have a 10lb dog and lifted the kennel and the entire plastic and the handle broke away! It just busted the section below the handle and came off with it! I realize I must support the bottom, but literally as I was lifting to do that, it cracked apart.
The cage is not as pictured, it doesn’t have the flaps (instead it is all bolts) and on the top it doesn’t have the little storage areas and to top it off the door doesn’t even fit idk if they sent the wrong door or the wrong top part, but the point is this is useless. I’m disappointed because it’s not what I was expecting, and I guess I’ll just have to return it.
