Bought this previously, liked it so much bought one for my son's house. Sturdy, nice flap and option to cover if needed.
This is the second pet door I have purchased from PetSafe and both were as advertised and were of good quality. Both had to be installed in metal doors, so I needed to use a reciprocating saw vice a scroll/saber sad, but it worked. I would not hesitate to buy another one if I needed it.
Bought the storm door with doggie door several years back. Time for new flap. The last one was still good just stained. The replacement flap fit perfect and made our door look brand new again
My original door lasted 3 years with 3 medium size dogs before replacing the swinging door portion. Actually I thought I was just ordering a replacement but I guess the website code for the door shipped me the entire thing…not sure how that works but I like this type of door for the dogs. I recommend it.
Bought this almost 5 yrs ago. 1 Poddle, 2 Cockapoos, 1 Chihuahua and 2 Yorkies later we find it a great investment. Placed it between the kitchen and living area under a window and lots of compliments. I just replaced the door flaps and noticed that the brackets holding the flaps are very delicate. The handy man that installed my doggie door cracked them in 2 pieces but I didn't know until I noticed replacing the flaps. Be careful when installing. Again, 2 thumbs up for this product.
We have seven dogs running in and out and this door works well for us. The only issue i have is the plastic screws. i have to replace these with metal for the door to last longer...
I had a prior door made by the same manufacturer which had the flap break. I ordered a new door which appeared on the site as one the same size. When I went to install it it was substantially smaller and flimsy; not at all the quality of the original door. Plastic bolts, a snap-on safety cover, and a weird filler system between the inside and outside of the door unit. Would not buy this again.
I bought this and the flap does not seal. Well it works, and the magnet is very weak. It's slaps in the wind when it's a little windy. Very disappointed in this door. Also, the snap on cover is very difficult to get off once it's on.
I had recently bought a dog door from you that has a sliding door closure which is quite nice. This one has a plastic closure that is difficult to snap off especially in the cold.It hurts my fingers. I would NOT recommend the second one for this reason. I like the slide door MUCH better.
Newer flaps don't fit the older style doors. Medium to small, Large too small. No fit for the older type I have and the ridge pn the old style flaps wore out fast.
