i got this charger because i hate charging thru the computer! there were always errors & my ipod shuffle wouldn't charge when the computer was in standby. it also took about 3 hours to charge. this is the only wall charger available now for ipod shuffle 1G. THIS CHARGER WAS GREAT! it charged in a little under an hour! with the correct lights showing. the only problem i had with it was the cable they provide for my model didn't fit it. but, i just used the apple supplied cable & it was fine. GREAT PRODUCT!!
While on vacation, my daughter accidently left her iPod shuffle charger. This DLO PowerBug is awesome. It is a true two for one product that works great. It can serve as a replacement or need to have "spare". Also, I have used the power source for my iPod Nano when I can't get to computer. Great buy--I give it 5 stars.
I find this product to be great! Wonderful to take on trips and etc when your out of town or even if your staying with a love one in the hospital when needed.
Apple needs to come with a charger that plugs into the outlets verses the one that comes with the ipod for the computer. I love my powerbug wish I would have saw this sooner! I am a happy customer!!!!!!!!!!!!
The original docking cable to my ipod shuffle broke so i had to purchase a new one. This one is great! The wall charger works great if your traveling and aren't around a computer!
My son bought the ipod shuffle because it's small enough that he can keep it in his pocket and use it at work. The problem was, the only way he could charge it was on the computer and since he doesn't have a computer, he had to bring it over to my house to charge it. This charger has been a real time saver for him-it works great!!!
I don't have a personal computer at home (I use my roommates), so it is a big convenience to be able to have my iPod charged whenever I need it. If you have the rubbery thing that covers the iPod, you need to take that off to charge, but not a big deal. I would definitely recommend this product. Useful too when traveling and you don't have a computer around.
this is a really good product. You are not tied to a computer to charge your Shuffle. This makes it truely a mobile iPod. Plus, the cable it comes with gives you a second USB connection to the computer just in case a Gremlin runs off with your original iPod connection cable/charger.
Overall this is a great product. It's very useful away from home. I would try to charged my iPod at work and it would never get a complete charge. I guess it's b/c the product wasn't registered on that computer. However I searched the Wal-Mart Site for an AC adapter and located the DLO powerbug. I thought that it would charge much quicker than it does with a PC, but it doesn't. It takes a few hours. I highly recommend this product to anyone that travels, go to the gym, or listens at work to purchase one. You never know when you'll need it; it's usually when you're not near a computer.
The DLO Powerbug is an inexpensive way to charge an iPod shuffle. However, I returned one thinking it was defective only to have this one work the same way.... It is supposed to plug into the shuffle directly and charge but it doesn't. Fortunately I already had a docking station. Once plugged into the docking station it charges great - no need to use the USB/PC for charging anymore!
