so you may wonder how and why this is different from the other 'wireless chargers' out there. This is the ONLY one that allows you to use whatever case you want - or not one at all AND it's the only one that has back up power for later. You charge it overnight, take the back up off your phone, throw it in your purse for back up power later. My husband is an IT nerd and he's tried them all and we both now have the Philips Chargeon! Highly recommend it!
Great concept that falls a bit short in execution. The location of the base unit's charge indicator light is obscured when the charger is attached to an iPhone. The charger does not charge the phone as completely as expected.
I let my iphone4 battery run down to about 1 19%, then attached the fully-charged Philips battery charger. It only recharged my iphone to 60%, and I didn't take or make any calls in the interim. Not as powerful I was expecting, but not necessarily a bad product. Just average.
I bought and it worked great the first time. Anytime after that it got really hot and the product itself couldn't hold a charge. Save your money.
