I purchased this product about 6 months ago because I have to trim the hair in my nose and ears every week. I figured, "Hey, it is only 10 dollars. If it doesn't work very well you haven't lost very much." (I had been using the side burn trimmer on my electric razor, and it did not work very well.). The ear and nose hair trimmer came with a AA battery and instructions. I read the instructions and installed the battery. Then I turned it on and tried it out. It was easy to use. It got into areas that my electric razor's side burn trimmer could not. I have been using this device every week for the past 6 months with the same battery that came with it. I am completely satisfied with this product. Thank you Norelco!
I bought this so I could get rid of the sneaky little hairs that pop up once in a while and these do the trick very nicely. I don't get many hairs showing in my nose but if you ever need to get rid of those pesky little nose hairs these do it without pulling on the hairs in your nose, it just shaves them off without making you wince.
When you hear “Oh no I can't find the adapter” being yelled from the bathroom I thought quick and ordered a new trimmer for the husband. LOL, it came the very next morning and he was extremely happy. Worked for what it's intended for and a happy new addition to the vanity. He mentioned that the new design on the head was much more comfortable than the normal circular version and it didn't tug on the hairs like his last one. So…it was a great purchase!
I’ve needed a new nose trimmer so I was excited to give this one a try. Besides the trimmer itself, it also comes with a cleaning brush, eyebrow guard and a long lasting battery. The batter is easy to install. Just twist the base, pop it in and twist again… done! It’s a sold trimmer. It’s easy to grip. It has a nice weight to it. It feels like quality when you’re holding it. Turning it on is as simple as twisting the base. The trimmer is extremely easy to use. Just place it in your nose. Not too far though. The instructions point out how deep you can insert it. It works quickly. Place it in, move it around the inside perimeter of your nose for a few seconds and you’re done. No more unsightly hairs popping out. No more resistance or tickling in your nose when breathing. It works! The instructions are lengthy, but easy to follow. They go in-depth on how to wash the trimmer. In addition to a great trim, the trimmer itself is easy to clean. I just ran some water over it and it was spotless. In addition to my nose I also tried it on the back of my neck. The hairs came right off. To clean the trimmer after this I just used the brush that comes with it. This is definitely the nicest nose trimmer I’ve used. It has an expensive feel to it that others don’t. This one also gives a smooth clean cut whereas others sometimes tend to pull your hair a bit when cutting, which can be painful. This trimmer exceeded my expectations. The only improvement I would make is a variable speed option. As is there is only one speed. Not a big deal, but I can see where a dual speed option would come in handy. Overall, I love it. I’m so happy with my trimmer!!!
Purchase was made for a friend and was much appreciated. Norelco is a time tested brand. Trimmers are very well made, easy to use and are accurately described! Eyebrows look great!
I was unsure of whether or not it took batteries. Instructions were pretty vague
It's an okay trimmer. It will trim off most of the hair. When I used it to trim my ear hair, it didn't get a lot of it off. it took multiple passes. The eyebrows trim guard works decent and will show an improvement, especially if you have thick eyebrows. Overall, it's a decent trimmer, but i removed a star because it was a bit too noisy in my ear, it could cut a bit closer and it was getting hot in a short period of time.
The Phillips Norelco nose trimmer 1000 comes packaged with a nose trimmer device, an eyebrow attachment, and a cleaning brush. I liked the fact that this product includes a battery. The eyebrow attachment is also a nice perk. The instructions are included in a small pamphlet and are relatively easy to follow. Setup is a breeze. Pop in the battery and off you go. The nose hair trimmer cuts relatively well. There isn't any pulling or tugging and it cuts relatively close. The eyebrow trimmer, on the other hand, was just ok. It was a little difficult to use. I would have like something with a little more adjustment to it. I'd say that this product is a good quality product and it looks like it's built to last for a while.
Hey, DO NOT USE THE EYEBROW ATTACHMENT WITH THIS DEVICE AND TRIM YOUR EYEBROWS! It will cut them way, way, way too short and you'll be angry and feel betrayed by the folks who designed this lousy eyebrow attachment. YOU WILL LOOK FUNNY FOR 1-2 MONTHS UNTIL THEY GROW BACK! This is my public service announcement to all! It's fine for the nose, so there's that.
The thick plastic blade guards prevent cutting the skin, but also prevent cutting the hair very short. I don't mean the removable eyebrow trimmer, but the built-in non-removable plastic around the blades. So there is always a remaining hair length that makes it look like I have not trimmed for a few days. Now I need to spend more money buying a product that cuts closer and will only keep this one as a back up.
