I had a different tooth brush before lasted about 6 months. I bought my wife one of these for Christmas and when mine broke I switched to this brush. It works better than any I have ever tried. I would highly reccomend this product to anybody.
Philips Sonicare (HX5630) electric toothbrush is well made, durable, and very reasonably priced. It performs reliably and does well what it is advertised to do. I have owned the product previously. It lasted 6 years with once per day use. The rechargeable battery would no longer recharge but 6 years of service is excellent. I bought a replacement of the same model because I think it's the best.
This is my 3rd Sonicare. Unfortunately my two previous ones fell victim to being dropped on a stone tiled bathroom floor. Before i started using a Sonicare, i had serious periodontal problems. My gums were in horrible shape and there was bone loss in several areas. After 6 months with the Sonicare, my gums were healthier than they'd been in decades and the bone loss stopped. My ONLY complaint is the shape of the brush handle. As i brush, the vibrations, along with wet toothpaste suds, cause the Sonicare to slide from my grip and i have to re position my grip on the device. Having to stop midway through brushing to reposition my grip has been the cause of dropping it on the floor where the housing cracked. While there are 'grippy' strips, it's been my experience that once those are wet and sudsy from toothpaste, the combination of slippery and vibrating renders the grip strips of little use. Naturally it's always a month or two after the warranty expires and the cost of replacing the battery is as much as buying a whole new device. Instead of a grip that is the same size all the way up, could you consider maybe graduating it so it's larger near the head and narrower near the bottom? I think this could help relieve some of the sliding. Someone suggested positioning my pinky finger at the base to prevent slipping, but the arthritis in my hands won't allow this. I have to make some serious decision as to whether or not i will purchase another Sonicare product when I drop this one. But i'm hoping 3rd time's the charm.
Wow! I wish I got this a long time ago. It not only makes my mouth feel very clean; but I brush longer and I feel somewhat clearer in my head. (& No... I"m not crazy)
I like the product, but there was no info on how many heads were supplied. Only one came with it, and for the cost of product it would be nice if a 2nd head was included. Especially since they recommend changing the head every 3 mos. or so.
I bought this toothbrush as a replacement for my previous Sonicare that was about 8 years old. I didn't realize that all models do not have the quad brushing system. That's the only drawback really. Otherwise it is working perfectly.
My previous Sonicare gave a "tone" every 30 seconds to let me know to switch quadrants of my teeth. The only model I could find with this feature required me to buy two Sonicare brushes. Since I'm the only one in my household, why would I need to spend nearly double the price to get what I wanted. Also, because of the design, this one isn't nearly as easy to clean as my previous Sonicare which let me easily pull off the brush head piece and wash it. Overall, the "improved" model is really a step, or two backward. Too bad.
I was so excited when I received this toothbrush. I could feel my teeth cleaner than before. But unfortunately, I didn't have any luck with the charger. I am waiting for the exchanged third charger to arrive. I do not know what is going on every time my device ask for charging, the charge doesnt work. I am very disappointed. I do recommend this sonicare but a different one.
Great toothbrush, however very poor batter life. Quickly starts slowing down at end of battery without giving the "time to recharge" signal at the end of a brushing. Warranty replacement handle does not have the quad pacer feature. Not a 1 for 1 warranty replacement in my book.
I have a very narrow jaw, and it is not possible for me to clean properly at the gum line on the "tongue side" of my lower teeth with this brush head. In the past I had another brand with a round brush head and didn't have this problem. Otherwise the machine works very well and performs just as described. No problems with understanding the enclosed instructions, starting it the first time, or in retaining the charge.
