This projector has amazing clarity. Even when viewing on the composite and S video inputs, the clarity is absolutely amazing. I am projecting onto an outdoor inflatable screen about (10 feet diagonal) and it is bright and crisp beyond what I could have imagined. I can't wait to try the component inputs to see what it does with high def signals. Absolutely pleased with it so far. The only negative is that it must wait to cool to shut down... no big deal, but more expensive models seem to have instant off capability. Not a problem really. Very happy with the performance.
Works even better than expected. Excellent clarity of higher priced models. Works great even when pushed past reccommended throw distance. Lumens are bright enough to start preshow even before civil twilight (I use mine for outdoor movies). To put the picture into perspective for you, I can clearly and sharply project at 336" diagonal picture and could even go bigger. Performs well beyond specs. This projector as a relatively cheap bulb replacement. Most bulbs cost 600 to 700 dollars. This one is only 249 dollars average I have found. Filterless design is easy to care for. Clean with Ninja air type product if needed. Light and portable. The crowd was very pleased with the show it put on. We even had people drive up and take pictures! Best of all it's super easy to hook up to a standard dvd and surround sound receiver. Well worth the investment.
I wanted a beginners projector and I found this one compared the xga neative resolution the ANSI lumens and the lamp life to other expensive projectors on here and this one had better numbers at cheaper price love it I play it outside on a 12ft inflatable projector I use my xbox 360 with a VGA connection to get high definition also the movies look great even with my driveway lights on so far had 3 rockband partys everyone loves it only con I have for it is it has no hdmi connection only RCA and VGA but I play movies thru my xbox VGA adaptor so I'm satisfied I did see a VGA to component adapter at radio shack so you could use that for a HDTV dvd player
