I really enjoy this product and it has become a regular part of my meal rotation. It's flavorful, satisfying, inexpensive, and easy to prepare. It's also relatively healthy, which is a plus. While I didn't care for the suggested preparation method, I found an alternative method that works better for me. I rehydrate the TVP and spice blend using mushroom stock instead of water and cook it in a slow-cooker pot with 1 can each of chili beans, diced tomatoes with chilies, crushed tomato, and a bit of oil. I also add some black pepper, cayenne, chili powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, and minced garlic to boost the flavor. I love this product so much that I buy it in bulk, just in case it ever becomes unavailable at my local Walmart. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a flavorful, easy-to-prepare plant-based meal.
This is going to be a staple in my cupboard from here on, it's that good. A perfectly seasoned plant-based chili that only takes 15 minutes to make.
This stuff is amazing. I add canned beans, onion garlic, peppers, carrots and celery. i can of diced tomatoes, The key is the spice package is enough for a large pot of chili. try it! worth it
I really dont like most vegetable substitutes but my fiancee is vegetarian so I try my best to accommodate but this chili... THIS is INCREDIBLE it has become one of my favorite foods I absolutely love it
Great texture, great balance of seasonings. All i had to do was add the ingredients suggested and my own vegetables (I added mushrooms, corn, kale, red kidney beans and rice) This will be my new go-to - my bf loved it!
