I've used essential oils for my children here and there. I have bought this brand previously, but in the undiluted form and found it messy to dilute myself for the kids. I often mixed it into their baths. I really like this option! The roller ball makes it easy to apply. My daughter who is 5 really seems to respond well to the calming blend. I will continue to buy these oils for my kids!
As a newer essential oil user, I loved finding these oils already remeasured, diluted and ready to use! I would only use something 100% pure, and safe for children. I took germ destroyer and nighty night on our recent road trip. Germs are everywhere, especially in a tourist area, just a little roll to the back of the neck and wrists provides peace of mind that germs will stay away! Sleeping in hotel rooms is often hard on the entire family, I did a roll of Nighty Night on the kids and myself and had a great night sleep, I was pleasantly surprised!This is a perfect, all inclusive ready to use wellness kit any parent could benefit from using!
This review is for the Plant Therapy Essential Oil | KidSafe Starter Set for Focus, Calming | Pure, 6 Pre-Diluted Roll-Ons | 10 mL (1/3 ounce). I was excited to try these for my son. He has adhd and I like to try as many natural things I possibly can for him. So far we tried the calming the child and the nighty night and both time he said he felt a difference. I am saving the A+ attention for when school starts again. The germ destroyer, immune boom and sniffle stopper I am saving for when he is sick or around someone who is so I can't say how well those work yet. The nighty really seems to work the best. Some you apply to the back of the neck, some the chest and some the wrist so you have to read each bottle. I love that the bottles are small and easy to carry. They smell good and are easy to roll on. I also like that they are already diluted and ready to use. You just have to make sure to let it try because it will rub off on your clothes when wet. I would purchase these again when this set runs out. I gave 4 stars just because I have not had reasons to try them all yet but so far I'm pleased with this product.
Out of the 6 rolls I received 4 are being used on a daily basis. The other 2 will probably be used this fall and winter. The immune boom and the germ destroyer are for seasonal use. The sniffle stopper is working for my child that has a problem with her sinus year round, she still snores but not as loud. Calming the child combined with A+ attention is working well with my 8 year old and his school work. The nighty night is my favorite. I put it on my 8 year old about a half hour before bedtime, within 45 minutes he is asleep. No more coming downstairs for "one more drink". They smell great, even though my kids will disagree. My daughter has sensitive skin and this hasn't broken her out.
Overall, I am fairly happy with the Plant Therapy KidSafe essential oil starter set. I love that it comes with 6 bottles of pre-diluted roll-ons – perfect for kids! The A+ attention is for helping a child focus. The Calming the child is for helping to promote calming feelings. Nighty Night is good for helping a child fall asleep faster by creating a relaxed and calming atmosphere. Germ Destroyer is for protecting kids against seasonal illnesses. Immune Boom is for a healthy immune system. Sniffle Stopper is for stuffy noses and heads. They are so easy to use – just roll on the child's wrists, back of the neck and/or the upper chest area. The 10 mL size is great for testing it out for the first time, however, I don't know that it's really enough product to know for sure if it's working or not. I would like to get a larger size to really test it out – but it doesn't seem like the oils were bad to use, I just don't know if I really noticed any difference in the short amount of time I tested them out on my children. I love that each bottle has instructions on it, making them easy to use. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to try essential oils for their children because these are so easy to use and seem safe to use!
Nighty night - LOVE. I find this scent very soothing. I put it on my chest, neck, and wrists. I just do a couple rolls and the scent is lasting. I use it at bedtime when I'm already tired so I'm not sure that it puts me to sleep, but the smell is delightful. Im certain this helps me feel more comfortable. A+ attention - flop. I tried this before work and before studying. I didn't feel focused. I have tried it on my wrist, chest, neck, under my nose.. doesn't seem to work for me. Sniffle stopper - Works! I got back from a trip and felt my nose getting congested. Going to bed, I could hardly breathe thru my nose. I put this on my upper chest / neck and under nose. In the morning, felt like my nasal passage was 90% cleared. Definitely feel like this made a difference. Calming the child - unsure. I used this a couple times. Smells very citrus, like pinesol but I like it. I wouldn't say that I notice a calming effect, but it's a pleasant smell. Immune boost - meh Germ defense - meh The last two I can't really determine a difference. I will still use them, but I wouldn't recommend them as they aren't as effective as the others. Overall, I love this sample set! I recommend the set for sure. It's pre diluted and super convenient! These roller balls will last me forever. I love these!!
I am a die hard high ene oil user. I was skeptical of trying a lower cost brand. The plant therapy oils cam reasonably priced. There were several rollers in the kid set. There wasn't a strong smell to any of them. I'm not sure if it's because they are prediluted or what. My lil one had been coughing alot so it was. A perfect time to try them out. I used the sniffles stopper, germ, immune, and the calm child. The calm child worked super fast. I feel like they are a decent alternative to higher end oils. I couldn't seem to find much info on the purity ratio but overall theeyy were good.
I have been looking for kid friendly/safe oils for awhile now. As a Mama of three kids four and under I did not want to deal with diluting and open bottles that someone's little hands would knock over. This starter set was the perfect find! My four year old is not a Vick's fan and the Sniffle Stopper still “smelled bad” but when I told him it was trees in it he didn't wipe it off!! It smells way less chemical in my opinion and fresh. My two and a half year old has tried the A+ Attention and she loved the feel on her wrists. All the rollers come with strong white electric style tape around them to keep them extra secured so I'm not worried about them leaking in my bag which is amazing! Great brand and solid product!
This is my first time trying out any kind of essential oils, I have always been intimidated because there are so many different ones, knowing which ones to mix and how much to use, also I have been confused as to how they are to be used. This pack takes away most of the guess work, it has a little of everything to try out and they are very easy to use, the bottles are glass and about the size of a tube of lipstick and they have a small metal roller ball at the tip. Even though the instructions are printed on the bottles I do wish they came with a sheet of instructions because it can be hard to read the small print on the bottles, also I don't see anything on the bottles that tells you how much to roll on or how often. So far I am pleased with the quality of these oils, they are not overpowering in smell and I love the fact that they are pre diluted and mixed, they are clearly labeled as to what purpose you should use them for and where to put on your body. My son and I have been using these and so far my favorite is the calming and nighttime one, the scent is very relaxing, my son has been trying the sniffle stopper and immune boom because he has been fighting a bug that won't seem to go away, so far he is pleased, neither one of us has had any skin irritation or issues with the oils. I definitely would recommend these for anyone looking to try out essential oils, they are safe and easy to use for both kids and adults.
