I had a Mio and decided after it went kaput I decided to give the Polar a try. I prefer the Polar for the fact that I don't have to stop my workout to touch the watch to take a reading. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone. I'm still trying to figure out how to set it to my individual settings but for now I am using the preprogrammed info.
I have already recommended this to a friend. The only thing that I didn't like at first was that it beeps when your heart rate is too high or too low, which can be annoying if you're in a fitness class with others. To prevent this from happening, I just turned off the limits so that it wouldn't beep at me. You can still easily check your heart rate though to make sure you're at a safe rate. Great monitor (rated number 1 when I was doing research for one) and a really great price!
i've had this monitor for about a month. i have had no problems with it. looking at other reviews, i would like to say that the size of the screen is good and the buttons work fine. i also believe the wrist band would fit large people well and looks gender neutral.
I love this Heart rate monitor, can time exercise, calculate target HR, time in Target zone, how many calories burned based on Height and weight input. I love it, use it almost everyday.
Easy to program, love the two countdown timers. Great for entry level training. Only drawback is buttons pressure for required for activating functions seems inconsistent, sometimes have to press hard, other times not.
Easy to use. Digits could be BIGGER.
Used it less than a week. Heart rate was incorrect by up to 70 beats per minute
