Unit produces good water flow for 240 gallon aquarium and is very quiet.
Pond with small waterfall
This is an exact replacement for an existing pond pump. Seems very well made, and is exactly like the one I replaced for our Koi pond. Time will tell how it holds up, but I see no reason it wont last. Keep in mind that parts for these are readily available too. I really just needed a cover and impeller assy for the one I replaced, but I wanted a spare. So I will replace the parts on the old one and have a spare.
Exceeds operational expectations.
In all not a bad pump really like the long cord
Great pump. I have used one of these pumps before and it did a great job
Broke in less than 7 months. Maybe I didn't keep the algae and debris out of it well enough , but still I would have expected it to last longer. I will try to order a replacement impeller and see if that works.
Double Fail. The first one failed within a month and the second one failed with about 5 more months of use (over the next year) I tried to get the extended warrantee when the first one failed but walmart.com couldn't handle that kind of change to an order during a replacement. What is really frustrating is that it probably fixable if it could be disassembled. The shaft turns but with significant mechanical resistance. Maybe a cleaning or a well placed drop of oil and it would work. If you manually turn it it will go. I figured that since it is toast I would rip it apart. Couldn't even do that because it is potted.
