My 5 year old LOVES this game even though she doesn't know all of the words yet. The little kernels have clear printing that somehow sticks with her. After playing only a few times, she was able to spell words that I haven't ever taught her because she photographically remembered them from the game. It really is a great way to work on sight words. The game comes with a ton of words so it never gets too boring. My only complaint is that I wish there was a covering on the top of the box through which players had to reach their hand in to pick a kernel. Kids tend to want to peek at what's inside to avoid grabbing a "pop" card!

We use this all year in my Kindergarten classroom & the kids love it! As we learn sight words, I put them into the game. It is a fun way to practice reading their sight words. In my classroom, for a student to be allowed to keep a word, all the students in the center group must agree that the word was read correctly.

This is so much better than going through her sight word flash cards. She loves competition. And the big OOOOHHHH NOOOOO when the pop comes up is so much fun! Her little three year old sister's job is to "hold the box" so we all get to play!
