The SAME codes were on the internet and were easy to program into the weather radio. I wanted to be prepared for the spring tornado season, so I purchased this radio. It is very informative and easy to operate.
The Radio works just like it was advertised and I purchased a couple extra's for two of my kids.
Pros: Portable or home use, Great Reception, Very good features, Easy to use, Well Designed Cons: none Other thoughts: Excellent portable weather radio that gets excellent reception, and can easily be packed for travel, or use in a car, or taken with you to your safe place in your house during storms. I recommend getting the charging station that allows you to keep it charged and ready to go.

Weather radio was xmas gift for parents in OKC. It was small, compact, and easy to grab on the way out to their tornado shelter, clips on belt leaving hands free (to grab the dog!). Everybody, especially in OK, needs one. Plan on ordering one for myself.
I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He's been thrilled with how it works. It works exactly as they described it and it was easy to program. His only complaint is he is trouble finding another rechargeable battery, which is not readily available.
Pros: Good sound and easy to program. Also like the travel feature allowing the radio to seek and tune into the local area weather as move down the highway. Also allows radio, if you choose, to pick up any S.A.M.E. broadcast that it can receive, you do not have to program in any S.A.M.E. codes if you choose not to. Stores recent alerts for review. Cons: Lacks a stand which leaves radio tipsy when trying to keep it vertical, although it can be operated in any position. Also it does not seem to receive the test broadcasts on Wednesday from NOAA. It is just a test of their system and not a test of the radio. Some might like not hearing these unnecessary broadcasts, others might want to hear as a test of the operation of their device.
I have not used this product as of yet.
Pros: Just the right size, Easy to program, Easy to use Cons: Charger no battery, No battery Other thoughts: Very cool, does what is supposed to do, but the battery issue bugged me. I plugged the chager in assuming there was something to charge, only to discover it was empty?
Pros: Many features, It Sometimes Gives Me Wea, Big Hard To Lose Cons: Getting Channels Is Hard, Eats batteries Other thoughts: Knowing what I know now, I'd have purchased the smaller, less-feature rich unit. This has more and makes it complex and battery-consuming for me.
