This is quite easy to assemble and is also quite pretty. The bowl is deep so the birds can really take a bath. The only drawback is that the metal bracket should be a little bigger because the clamp will not fit under a double 2x4 railing. I had to chisel a slot to fit the clamp, but that was okay. It is easy to keep clean. I would recommend buying this. This is so much easier to assemble than another bird bath I bought that I still can't figure how to assemble because of missing parts or very confusing directions.
It looks good and is extra deep which will nicely accomodate lttle flat heater I have for the water to keep it from freezing but so far the birdbath has not been installed. It requres chiseling out under the railing to be able to slip in and be secured. Once a son has time to stop over and install it for me I am pretty sure it will work beautifully but deck tops are much thicker than this bidbath allows for and the chisel part will need to be on the outside part of the deck so it isn't noticable. I could do it but don't own a chisel and am not in such a rush to get it installed. It will require a good bit of wood removal to fit but hopefully once it is installed it will be fine.
