I have been using this shampoo for close to 30 years now (by my guess) and love it! It works just as well if not better than some of the "high end" shampoo products on the market. I am a no-frills type of person and just want a shampoo that can get the job done. Well, this is is! I have tried the other name brand shampoos and found this one holds up to it's name brand competitiors. The scent is not overwhelming, but doesn't scream flowers or other funky scents either. For the price, it is well worth trying!
Have used this for years and really like. Problem is that it is hard to find at a good price. Walmart rocked it with the best price. Had it shipped to the store so there was no shipping cost.
This shampoo lathers up beautifully, has a neutral scent, and rinses so easily. My hair always looks dirty after one day with creme shampoos. My hair is shiny and clean looking with the Prell. It does not dry my hair out and I am in my mid sixties. My husband also feels the same way I do.
I've yet to come across another classic shampoo that gets my body so clean. When you add a bit of showered water, it immediately spreads on smoothly over your skin's surface area like a consistently wide film of soap, and it washes off as if it's a somewhat potent degreaser of regular skin oils and waxy buildup that accumulates on your body and in your hair after you've had a very sweaty day at your job. Operant word here, is degreaser. Not a harsh stripper of oil that leaves your skin too dry, but a degreaser. You can tell how the water slides off the skin as you rinse it off. And, it doesn't have any overpowering scent. it's not scent-free but it does have just enough to neutralize any chemical odor inherent in the shampoo's active ingredients. I can see why this brand has been popular with shower stall traditionalists over the past decades.
Love this product. Been using it as bath wash for over 40 years. Use for my hair and being a Mechanic/ truck driver. Takes grease off my skin. Love the Walmart Too
Had a hard time finding this product in the stores. I like the way my hair feel after washing it. Leaves no film and is easy to style.
Was not happy with the creamy weak smelling shampoos that made my hair greasy, and dull looking with no body. My grandmother used this shampoo when I was a kid which always smelled nice, gave my hair body and a nice smell, and it didn't get greasy so fast. I decided to try it and it works the same and I love it:)
This shampoo works great on my thick hair.my hair gets very oily and prell is the only shampoo that really controls the oil and leaves my hair soft and shiny plus its a good price and last a long time.
My wife and I both prefer this rather old fashioned shampoo. Seems hard to find in stores. Good price from Walmart.
I stocked up on the original Prell when it became scarce/hard to find few years back. So was happy to see this as I'm down to last half bottle. Very close to original Prell. But it is different from my final bottle that I actually spent time trying to compare it with. Quick to tell its not same but its good stuff still.
