I have a dog and a cat, and a new cockatiel. I knew that a table style stand wouldn't keep the cage high enough (from the dog jumping on it) and I didn't want to put a hole in my ceiling to hang it (plus the bird would be stuck in one location). So this stand is perfect. It is sturdy, which means very little wiggle when in use. Of course, before putting the cage on it, I grabbed the arm where the hook is and tried to tip it. So I am sure that it takes a good deal of effort to get this to tip! I am a bit baffled by the reviews of this stand being flimsy, because it is not. It is light enough that I can set up my bird in any room I happen to be in. This is a huge plus because most birds are social and it allows me to keep my bird happy by keeping him near me. I suppose that when the weather warms up, I could bring him outside, too. It keeps my bird away from the cat (as long as I don't put the stand in a location near things the cat could use to get close to it) and the dog doesn't really have anything to jump on to knock it over. This stand is a win-win-win! Ideas to make this product better: adjustable height (not lower, but I would like to have it go higher), and casters with locks so that it is easier to move.
Very easy to assemble. Strong enough for the birdcage without wobbling.
Like it - bird hates it. He'll get over it.
It is a nice stand but it doesnt work well with the birdcage my mom has, had to put bricks on couple of legs
It was easy to put together. It holds my bird cage perfectly. If you're getting it offline I would suggest when you pick it up from the store that you have them open the box and check your hardware that comes with it. I was missing some that I replaced myself.
This stand is OK. However, my bird cage is too big for it - it just tips it over. I need to return it and find something to replace it.
This is not a bad product, it seems sturdy enough but it can't hold 25 pounds, as advertised. It would not hold my cage (23 " X 16 X 16) which certainly does not weigh that much, especially since it only holds a canary. The stand tilts forward, even though I made certain it was assembled correctly and securely. I had to return it and buy a table for my cage.
stand doesn't stay flat on the floor.
This stand was not what I expected. The stand would not hold my bird cage, it would tip over. The bottom of the stand needs more weight on it to hold the cage. My cage is normal size, nothing unusual or heavy. I think the only kind of cage this stand would hold would be a very small cage. I would not recommend this product.
