I used to knit with needles, but gave it up when arthritis in my hands got bad. Then I bought the SET of four round Knifty Knitter looms from our local WalMart (it includes this yellow extra large loom), and I'm knitting again. I made a hat for my 18 year old grandson who works for a trucking company and says it gets really cold on the loading dock. He loves the hat - says it keeps his ears warmer than store-bought hats. I also have the purple straight loom and returned to this site to look for the larger straight loom. I always use at least two strands of yarn - 3 strands if it's fine baby yarn.
