I was trying to find a better quality store brand food for my "chubby" kitties with less filler and more protein. I read labels and decided to try this. It's a little pricier, but so far worth it. It's been a few months now and my little chubs have seemed to have lost a little weight. They're definitely not gaining anymore! Plus, they seem to be able to use more of the food ... as there seems to be less poo-poo in the litter box. So for a grocery store brand, this seems to be a good choice. Read labels folks! We are doing a disservice to our babies by loading them up on fat hoarding fillers.
Rescued an overweight cat
Very happy my baby felix was having kidney issues. He would only eat his treats. This delightful food right here has my baby flying throw the house once again. I love pure balance and so does he.
I found this food after I tried sevaral for a rescue cat..she had soft to very wet bowel issues. .after about a week on this she was better...11/2 yaersl later still normal...firget the other high priced get ones...this done better for her..
My cats seem to love this cat food. My vet always compliments them on how shiny and soft their fur is. He says you can always tell how high quality a cat food is by the cat's coat. Be aware that the kibbles are very small. I put a pic of them next to some sunflower seeds for a size comparison for you. I think one of my cats swallows them without chewing, because of how quickly she is done eating her portions. The only problem I have with this food, is that my store never seems to have it in stock. I guess that's what Walmart.com is for.
Our older cat has severe food allergies. We tired everything from expensive vet food to this. He is fine and happy with the dry formula. He didn't do well with the wet. Since we found this we are spending half as much!
Our cat has allergies and this is the only food she can eat, and she loves it. She is 16 yrs old and the small kibble size is easy for her to eat and digest
Very good food. Turkey is the first ingredient. Only problem is my cats prefer a fish based food. I have one finicky eater and she waits until she's really hungry to eat it.
When I first got the food she wasn't happy because she was used to a bigger less healthier brand. She finally after some dirty looks and trying to hide the food will now eat it.....Good for her!!! Now here is the new problem the smell of her stool is outrageous I don't know if the food isn't agreeing with her or if it is just the type of food but I buy expensive litter, use powder, have a covered box, and still have to scoop every time she goes now and spray my whole apartment with pet deodorizer. I will give it another week or two on the food but if this doesn't change I will have to go to a different food..... which I am not happy about because I like the ingredients, the price, and the convenience of having it right at my local Walmart. I would recommend to a friend but would warn them about the smelly stool just in case it's the food and not just my fur baby.
My cats won't touch this food with a 10 foot pole. It has been about a week since I started my cats on it and they are pretty much starving themselves rather than eat it. I feed them twice a day but since I started them on this food IeI feed them twice a day but since I started them on this food, I feed them in the morning but when I get home, instead of their food bowl being empty, its still full. I had one cat try to take a chunk out of my head twice! She is starving. I will never buy this food again! The pic is from the morning before... They absolutely refused to eat it. When three cats don't like it! Majority rules!
