Best large breed puppy food for the price. And compare active ingredient with other name brands
My puppy loves it! We transitioned him from a lower quality food to this one and it's been great. No tummy issues. I like that it comes in a large size too.
My dog is a pure bred Australian Cattle dog, their puppyhood lasts 2 years before we even attempt feeding adult food. This food is made for large breeds, these dogs 100mph all day every day. He needs a food that helps him build and maintain strong, resilient skeleton, cause if the foundation is not solid, how would anybody expect the upper levels to be. I've turned him into a certified Service Dog, since I do have non-epileptic seizures since my stroke. He is the perfect size to push himself under my body, slowly stands up, hence pushes me up till he is standing on his hind legs and literally "throws" me in my wheelchair. He has yet to even leave a scratch on me, I do that part all by myself. And when I have 1 seizure, I "always" have a series of 4. He will not leave my side, couch, bed, floor or wherever. Police or EMT are allowed to get close to me, but nobody else. Taught him how to unlock the electronic door, anything I teach him, at the very most he gets it within 5 minutes. His Vet is blown away by his instinct all the time. So, aside from being my Service Dog, he is working on also becoming a certified "Personal Protection Dog", for as friendly and goofy as he is, if/when he sees me in distress, 1st he checks on me physically then he looks around if someone else is/was the cause, if that is the case (and it was 1 time, which was 1 too many for him and me) he will 100% go after that person and keep them on the ground till help arrives and he is given the command to just be my buddy again. Rex and I live totally on our own, due to my paralysis I don't get out very much, although he LOVES to run, he knows Mom can't and he won't allow anyone else to walk him. I can let him off lead, a couple of the local Police Officers can and 2 of my neighbors can recall him, other then them, he does not trust people in general, but apparently that's normal for this breed. My last grocery order they were/are out of his regular food, so lets hope he will accept the temporary replacement. People laugh at me all the time, cause I "make" his treats, dehydrated sweet potatoes or carrots, rutabaga, etc...no junk food, no spices and he LOVES his treats and his toys. We have now moved to "talking buttons", I didn't think he would get it, but boy did he get it, which means "now I get it"....LOL. Please bring this food back ASAP, he has till November when he turns 2 and as of now I have not found a good and safe enough adult food for him. Vet told me that it be safe for him to stay on this food, but people are not meant to be on baby food forever and neither is a dog
This is really great puppy food for my Doberman! His coat is super soft and smooth. However, it's never in stock!
We were looking for a high rated puppy food and was surprised Walmart sold a high rated dog food so we tried it and the puppies are happy and healthy.
Love this food! We had puppies and bought this because it was reasonably priced$17 a bag! Told everyone that got puppies to go here and get the food because it was a good price. Now they doubled the price and it now costs $30!! Super disappointed. Did you raise the price because it started to sell real well? This is not the first time you have done this to an item I started to buy . Super frustrated. I understand a couple dollars in an increase but to almost double the price ! Shameful!
our puppy loves this food. but our local walmart rarely has it anymore. always have to order it online. pretty sad they carry the regular puppy food and not the large breed puppy food. this is North central Minnesota and most up here have big dogs! also was not a fan of the huge price jump!!
Our dogs have been eating Pure Balance Pro Puppy Chicken and Rice recipe for almost 3 months and loved it. But they do NOT like the Pure Balance Pro Chicken and Brown Rice large breed puppy food. Even with added toppings, they won't eat it until they are REALLY hungry. This includes the mama dog. However, both mama and pups like Pure Balance Chicken and Pea recipe for grown dogs. So... what's up with the Chicken and Brown Rice recipe??
The ingredients on the actual package is NOT what is listed on this website! THE MISSING INGREDIENTS ARE DRIED BEETS, FLAXSEED, BARLEY, DRIED EGG, DRIED SWEET POTATOES, DRIED APPLE, DRIED TOMATO PUMACE, DRIED SPINACH, OATMEAL. But has OAT "GROATS"? Very disappointed.
I’ve been feeding this to my Rottweiler pup for 7 months. The last bag the kibble was a different color and he’s been throwing up and had uncontrollable diarrhea. Not sure if it’s a change in the formula or they have horrible quality control. Switched to Purina One and he loves it (takes pieces to the fireplace like they’re treats)
