I just got my rescue kitty about a month ago and I started feeding him the regular Pure Balance Salmon flavor and he loved it. Once I ran out of it, the Walmart near me only had chicken and the poor kitty hated it. I just got this in the mail this morning and he ate a bunch of it right away! Definitely a big hit for this salmon loving cat!
Not what I wanted but my cat needs food and has food allergies, and its a Walmart brand and its hard to find
None of my 4 cats would eat this. When I mixed it in with their previous food they would pick around this and just eat the other food. I walk to work and bring food with me to feed stray cats in various spots on along my walk, and even they wouldn't touch it, either on it's own or mixed in with food I usually give them. I had high hopes for this food but I'm not going to force food they don't like.
Terrible bag of food. Tried it with two indoor cats and even a stray that is ALWAYS starving and NOT ONE would touch it. Something HAS to be bad wrong with this food!! These cats were screaming with hunger after three days but refused to even taste this…. The one cat had been eating this prior but for some reason this bag…..
None of my 3 cats will eat this. They sniff it and walk away. And they have never been picky eaters. They will literally eat any brand, any food. But not this. First time this has ever happened. They would rather starve than eat this food. It sits in the bowls untouched. They won't even eat it when mixed in with other food. It gets one star because my dog will eat it.
I had the same issues as several other reviews have stated. I have bought cat food from this brand several times but this particular flavor, my cat will not eat. Even if I mix it with something else, she just eats around it. Ended up throwing the whole bag and away and buying something else
Exactly what the other 1 star reviewer wrote. My cat absolutely refuses to eat this cat food. She will follow and meow at me all day long, but her food is untouched. This cat food must be terrible. I've even tried blending it and adding water like she likes. Why is the other Wild and Free Salmon cat food out of stock this long!? Is it not coming back? This is getting ridiculous if my cat is starving herself because of this cat food.
I used this product for years with absolutely no problems. Then there was a period of time when they changed the package and the formula and something is now terribly wrong with this product. My savannah cats would rather starve than eat this product. I actually lost one of my cats due to this product and the others have lost weight. Like 1 said, I've used this food for years with wonderful results. Then something has gone terribly wrong with it. I've never had any of my cats refuse food, but they would honestly starve to death than eat the new formula. I don't know what is wrong with it, but I would seriously ask the manufacturer to look into this and revert back to the original formula before they lose all their customers and the cats it's fed to.
Protien bites cause choking! The protien bites are so large my cat is choking on them. The kibble is nice and tiny and that is perfect but the protein pieces are hard and unable to eat and they choke. For safety I had to pick all them out. Not worth the danger. Hard pass.
This cat food killed my cat. Purchased it on 1/3/23. Evening of 1/13/23, my cat was in distress when I got home and then died less than 3 hours later. If you want to take that risk, be warned that it might kill your cat as well. I wouldn't recommend this food to my worst enemy. Stay far away from it.
