Our miniature pincher has a real sensitive stomach and many foods cause him real distress. With have just switched to this brand and variety 2 weeks ago. He was eating the healthy digestive canned food and it often it would cause him to have an upset stomach. He also had many bouts with itching and would scratch his hind quarters. We spent may visits to the vet and steroids to get him past these times. It was only recently I suspected the food and that is why we switched. Within 3 days he was much more lively and active than he has been in a long time. He loves the food! No stomach problems AND no itching! GREAT food!
I enjoyed both the wet and dry Purina One Smart Blend for my guy. I got a free sample of the wet and I love that he has been eating it for several weeks now and still chows down and doesn't turn up his nose which has happened quite often in the past. I have since gotten the chicken flavor in the dry that I have also given him and he starts wagging his tail as soon as he sees me go to the bag!. I also love that it is grain free since he has had issues with that ingredient in the past. I also like that it has essential vitamins to help keep him healthy and active with me. I love him like no other so I want to do what's best for him. Purina One Smart Blend makes me feel good about what I'm giving him. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I decided to change wet food and try Purina One cans to go with my dog's Purina One Dry Food. I felt like it was a little higher quality than what I was giving her before. It is more expensive but it also looks better. You can actually see some identifyable vegetables in the mix. She likes it fine and always finishes every bite.
I have a Scottish terrier mix and he has several stomach issues. This food is highly palatable and Buddy loves it!!! Since using it, he has had less "tummy days" where he gets an acidy stomach and eats grass to upchuck. He has been virtually upchuck free!! That is success.
My dog had to switch to soft food after dental surgery. She seemed to really enjoy it. Allowed her meds to be taken for pain control.
This seems to be a good dog food. Very meaty and smells good. My 4 pound teacup Chihuahua seems to like it so far but she is very picky. I put half a can the fridge and freeze the other half for later so it doesn't go to waste since she's a small eater.
Veterinarian recommended! Using 10 years! Healthy coat.
I Ike this dog food, my two girl Shepards are nuts for salmon more but any flavor from this brand is okay
I'm just the grandma to my son's Rottweiler, Greta but she's thankful to me for choosing foods that don't upset her stomach. After trying different brands of canned dog foods, Purina One Chicken & Brown Rice mixed with her favorite dry brand of dog food, doesn't upset her stomach. She use to vomit a lot and have frequent bouts of diarrhea with various brands that we tried, but not with the Purina One!!! Thank goodness we found something that works!
food was nice looking upon opening can. smelled ok for dog food. was easy to remove from can. dog is 14 years old and very pickey. she ate some which made me very happy.
