Just understand that the height of this stand is about 1/2 of that expected if your looking for a stand that one would use standing up. It is perfect for sitting in front of it playing a bezel flute or any other kind of instrument into a mic. It is well made from steal and plastic as is any other kind you've seen.
Very nice mic stand- all components are of high quality, although I thought it would be taller than it was.
The size of this stand is in between a kick drum stand and a regular mic stand. I needed a stand to mic an acoustic guitar in a home studio. It is the right size for that and probably be good for drums. The round base doesn't take up a lot of room and that was something that was important to me. This stand is cheaply made and has a lot of plastic but is a good value for the money. Priced at around $20 it would be hard to find one better. Looks like it will be durable with light home use.
Major issue is that the base is not heavy enough to sustain weight of Mic when the rod is extended fully. Good and decent piece otherwise.
it came in and I was disappointed of the size..I thought would be bigger Cuz of the picture..
product has a tendency to fall over a lot with my Shure microphone, base needs to be wider
