I love these! The variety of flavors is nice. The cheddar is my favorite! I'm always in the mood for these. These are also bland enough to eat if you have an upset stomach, but you can spice them up with seasoning too. Big fan. I will continue to buy.
I have the Jalapeño Cheddar grits. On the package it says to add 2/3 cup of water or milk for the microwave directions but on the box it says to add 1/2 cup of water or milk.

For perfect consistency grits, mix 2 packets with 3/4 cups of water. Microwave for 1 minute, then for 30 seconds in two 15 second intervals (so it doesn't bubble over). Add in 1 tbsp of butter and a half serving of cheese :) Delicous, perfect texture breakfast grits for 350 calories. E
I don't eat grits at all. But I decided to make shrimp and grits. Using these grades that were instant with added butter was a major plus! The grits were extremely creamy and buttery and tasted very good. I then added the sharp cheddar cheese-maybe not enough though. I made my delicious shrimp with Creole and old Bay seasoning, and I added heavy whipping cream for the gravy. Lots of peppers, onions, celery, garlic, and shrimp in the end. Not something I'd make a lot of, but if I do, I'd definitely use Quaker Grits. Delicious!
We love grits in our family! It is a breakfast staple item for us. My kids love cheesy grits for breakfast, while my husband and I like creamy buttery grits with our breakfast. The cheddar cheese flavored grits was not my favorite. My kids love them, which is why I still gave it 4 stars. To me I think the cheese tastes a little powdery and fake. I like to just add freshly grated cheese to my grits if I want to make them cheese grits. However, we still buy them so the kids can have their easy cheesy grits in the morning. My husband and I both enjoy the ease and great flavor of this product. It's nice to have the choice of flavor, too. Good quality product for a reasonable price.
These are NOT grits! They look radioactive and completely inedible. Why are they neon yellow? The texture isn't even gritty. I don't know what this is but my kids wouldn't touch it. I threw an entire value pack in the trash !
I've eaten instant grits with my grandma every weekend I visited her!! I was unbelievably disappointed when I bought some after years of not having them and they were the color of butter popcorn or one of the rare yellow colors in a coloring set. They don't even taste the same anymore either. Please go back to the original formula.
I don't like the bright yellow color in these grits (even if it is tumeric) still the grits to me tasted horrible! The bright yellow color is a turn off. My husband tried them for the first time and one spoonful he was done. I prefer the “original” flavor pack. Sorry Quaker. Try making the instant grits with real butter that's it.
