Sand bags don't cut it ...next time I'll be ready with this for my sliding doors. My house is on slab and flush to the ground. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Prevented the rain from washing down my driveway and eroding my back yard.
Easy to use and all set to go! Not complicated at all and it does the Job. I placed it in the basement since we are always getting flooded- needless to say we didn't get flooded this time for once !!! It helped maintain the water away from the basement.
This works great around the home.
I'm having some work done on my house and yard, and it's rainy season here in Florida. I bought two 17-footers and two 10-footers, and these are doing a great job of controlling water flows during downpours. They work best out in the open, but the end won't make a tight fit up against a wall. In these cases, I've stuffed a bath towel around the end to plug up the tiny spaces. Unpacked, these are very compact, so they're a great item to keep on hand for any unexpected leak. The 5-footer would protect an entry door, the 10-footer a single garage door, and the 17-footer a double garage door. Now that I've seen them at work, I can't imagine living in Florida with some on hand.
My hubby thought I was crazy, for wasting more money, but they worked just as stated on web site. They are still working today after MANY heavy downpours. Just watch when they dry out , the smaller sand bag size may blow away.. Well worth the money, and when not in use you can fold them back up & put away..
Used this on the back patio, to keep rain from puddling around the patio furniture....worked like a charm during our last 12 hour steady rain.
I have used other water dams successfully. Today we got about 3/4 " of a slow rain. I have these barriers on a slope of 3% asphalt. Total failure. Area flooded.
these did not work for me water came rushing in waste of money I would not recommend this product to anyone I threw them away
They work once! Had some rain before a storm. It did the job. Then they dry out and they are useless. The package says reusable. Not true
