When my granchildren saw these, their eyes lit up on Christmas Day! They have enjoyed riding them, and I only have one complaint.... they don't stay charged long enough! It's the perfect gift for the little ones, and would highly recommend them.
I received this quad 3wks ago, my son and daughter have not stop riding it. This is a great product, it is made very well. The only problem is the battery do not last long enough.
We read a few reviews of people who bought this and had problems with the battery, power, etc. We couldn't be happier with these. We bought 2 for our 5-yr old twins and have had absolutely no battery/power problems. It seems like they run for more than 45 mins per charge, my kids ride them all the time. We have a dirt lot with a small hill on it, these quads won't climb the hill, but are great for riding in the dirt, grass and cement. The directions say not to get them wet, but our first time out, we ran these through mud. They were covered. We just squirt them off and they still ran, although we're careful not to do that anymore. Great buy! Also, do not pay for assembly...assembly consists of just putting on the handlebars.
I was weary of this dirt quad at first, I read all of the reviews good and bad and I figured if anything I could return it if it did not meet my expectations. And so far so good! We have 10 acres of property and my 5 year old road all over the place in dirt and grass and had a ball! The battery said it lasted about 40 minutes max and I kept waiting for it to die and it kept going! It is built much better than I thought it would. My husband put it together qwickly with no problems. Even he was impressed, seeing as he wanted to but my son a gas powered one and I thought this one would be safer. He thought at first maybe it was to small for my son, but it really was a perfect size. He did tip it at first, but he was used to a quad with plastic wheels and it slid when he turned. This one definitly does not slide with rubber tires! And for the price, I think it was worth it! My son loves it!
My 4 year old loves this product. He rides it all over the backyard. The only problem we have had with it is that the battery does not hold a good charge. Overall, this is a great product.
This was the "big" gift from Santa and my 5-year old loves it! He is too big for all the other electric cars etc. When we found this it was just what we were looking for...something he can ride now and grow into. It is faster than I expected but he has a crash helmet and can't use it without our supervision. Overall GREAT. No battery or tire issues as I read in a few of the other reviews.
Overall, I am favorably impressed with the Razor Electric Dirt Quad. It appears to be sturdily built, if a bit heavy. This is just about the right size for my 4 1/2-year-old son. He can ride around 30 to 45 minutes (not at full throttle all the time) before he has to put it on the charger. It will probably run 8 or 9 MPH, which is a nice step up from a Power Wheels or similar vehicle, but not so fast as to really worry me. On the other hand, my 10-year-old daughter can run the batteries down in about 10 minutes riding it wide-open. It also has a very high center of gravity, and is easy to flip over if turned too sharply. Because of that, I will not let my 4 1/2-year-old ride it without close supervision. Once the kids run the battery down in the morning, it takes until evening for the batteries to charge back up; it is not pratical to swap the batteries when they run down because you have to virtually disassemble the whole vehicle to access the batteries. I'm pleased with the purchase, but I pretty much knew what I was getting into when I bought it. A group of kids that wanted to take turns riding it all day would be disappointed as there is not sufficient battery capacity (and charging is too slow) for that.
It had a bad battery. Razor is supose to be replacing it It would not stay charge but for 10 minutes instead of the 60 minutes. It was to big to bring back to wal-mart and the grandkids would be disappointed if I had brought it back.
We purchased it as a Christmas gift and the battery did not hold a charge for more than 10 minutes. After several charges, the same thing happened. We called Razor and they are sending a replacement battery. Hope that helps the situation. It's to bad...It's a great looking ATV and built well.
It provided 30 minutes of enjoyment for my grandchild before the batteries failed. Razor had no batteries in stock and said it will be 3 to 4 weeks before they can ship a new set. Also, it didn't appear to have good climbing ability as advertised. It was sluggish on a slightly paved incline and the owners manual indicated the solution for this problem as ""Use only on solid, flat clean and dry surfaces such as pavement or level ground."
