My 8 year old daughter loves this item. It is easy to ride and "glides" easily. Easy to assemble - only about 5 minutes.
My 10 year-old daughter got one of these for a birthday present. She thinks it's the coolest thing since 1Direction!!! She was a little apprehensive at first until she realized how to control it. Now I have a speed racer for a daughter. She is doing spin outs and racing with her little buddy who also has one. I would recommend it for any kids with plenty of concrete and blacktop around. It's also a good workout for her legs!!
Black plastic edge covers fell off. Be sure to tighten screws.
Works great for my almost 10 year old granddaughter who is taller and weighs 90 lbs. Had outgrown her previous scooter so this was a perfect step up for her. She loves it and can scoot with all the kids. Appreciate the ability to adjust the height of the steering column to accommodate growth. It holds up to 143 lbs so she should get a lot of use out of it. I also feel it is a safe alternative for these growing preteen kids. Her sister, age 7, 60 lbs, is very small for her age and this would be way to big for her.
Purchased for two grandsons ages 7 and 9. It appears to be sturdy and well built. Advise adult supervision while children are learning to maneuver this scooter. Of course, once they mastered using it, stand back and watch! The children seemed to really enjoy using it.
We bought this scooter because our son used to have the smaller version when we lived in an area that wasn't as suitable for riding so we got rid of it. He never let us forget how much he liked that version. Well, we were happy to see there is this bigger version since our son is surely too big for the same one he had when he was younger. He's 11 and a bit heavier than many kids his age, so we thought we would try this. The frame is very solid and easily holds our son. It seems to ride very smoothly and has no trouble on even asphalt. As long as it is cared for, I suspect this will last for several years to come. I highly recommend this product.
I tried the Powerwing at a friend's house and loved it. Three wheels make the ride easy and stable for a 9 year old and a mom. I wish the handle bars could raise up a little more but they were perfect for my daughter. The brake works slowly but is a nice feature. Taking it out on a bike path is awesome and the only problem we have is sharing. This is a new twist on an old favorite and I recommend this product for the young at heart.
Nice to have an extended handle bar with larger weight capacity for older kids (or even an adult). This made the higher price tag for the DLX more worthwhile. Assembly was easy enough for my 11 yr old to undertake unassisted-all tools were included.
BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SONS 9TH BIRTHDAY, MY 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IS GOING TO GET ONE FOR CHRISTMAS BECAUSE SHE LOVES IT TOO.
My 7 and 8 year old kids are having a great time on their power wing. They even ride on it together. What a blast going down slight hills. Good for keeping them away from the TV.
