A hog-wild tale of terror in the Australian outback. It's no cute koala munching eucalyptus leaves. It's a rhino-sized denizen of the outback that can turn you into a bloodfeast faster than the time it takes to whip up a BLT. Out of the wasteland of beauty and death seen in "The Road Warrior" comes "Razorback," tensely directed by Russel Mulcahy ("Highlander") and ominously shot by Dean Semler (the "Mad Max" series cinematographer who won an Academy Award for "Dances With Wolves"). Gregory Harrison stars as an unassuming American who comes to the down-under outback to look for his missing wife. Unequipped for the roughness of the land and even more unprepared for the horrors lurking within it, Harrison is soon ensnared in a harrowing battle for survival. Amid the hanging carcasses of the Pet Pak cannery, he confronts the monstrous "Razorback" while a conveyor belt inches man and beast toward razor-sharp blades that will make pet food out of one - or both. The pace is unrelenting. The landscapes are eerily unsettling. The terror is rampant. "Razorback" is the "Jaws" of the outback!.
