Our last TV was purchased in 1988. It died. We were forced to replace it. So we went with a TV that is destined for futuristic use because of all the upgrading. As far as the cost, it was hard to face. But checking on line for the best price and researching for quality, we decided on RCA TV and Walmart had the best price. We made our choice and we feel it was the best choice. We are wathing and listening to a TV like we have never had before.
At first, I was going to buy the Polaroid 32" TV/DVD, at the time they were the same price. But after reading the online reviews for that set, I looked at the RCA models. After reading the reviews for the 26" RCA TV/DVD, I decided that a RCA unit would be the best buy. But I wanted a 32” set and this one just happened to be a new product. So based on the reviews of the smaller set, I purchased this one (32” RCA TV/DVD Combo). This TV/DVD works great and meets or exceeds my expectations. The picture is great, the unit is light, DVD works great, sound is great, and overall this product is great. While I think this TV/DVD is great, I did have to return the first one, had it for a day. The first unit had a defect in the LCD screen. I called the RCA help line. If the problem cannot be solved by "Resetting" the set (unplugging it and plugging it back in) then you will have to return it. Returning this item was simple, took it to the local Wal*Mart and was given a full refund, to include the service plan. Once I returned home, I went back online a bought another one. The second unit arrived working great and flawless. If you are thinking of buying a LCD TV/DVD combo, I would highly recommend this set.
Well, I have had this TV for about a month and I absolutely love it. I have never had a nice TV. I have always had hand-me-downs, if you will, and I got this mainly to put up on the wall to keep my kids from playing with it. It is great. I was really surprised at some of the cool features and the sound is incredible. I wasn't sure if 32" was going to be big enough, but it really is perfect, and we have a big living room. I also got this one for the built in DVD player, to once again, keep my kids from playing with it. This is the largest TV with a built in DVD. Its perfect! I absolutely love it! Now my husband is going to put a plug in behind the TV to hide the cord.
used as a bedroom tv with a wall mount to get rid of the wires and entertainment center. looks great. takes up almost no space. dvd player works great and requires no additional wires. the remote is a little cumbersome (small buttons, no lights). sounds good as well.
I purchased the Polaroid 32" TV/DVD Combo for this summer for the beach cottage- I wanted something that was reasonably priced, had a small footprint, and would allow me to eliminate wires. It acheived all those things... I am a fan of the Polaroid. I recently realized I needed another similar TV for the kids playroom (they're getting a Wii for Christmas, and an upgrade from the 25 yr old 20" TV was in order). I went back and forth on the decision, and decided to try the RCA. Note that I've had the RCA for 2 weeks, and have "pushed" it before writing this. As much as I like the Polaroid, in my opinion the RCA is superior. A sharper picture, easier to use remote (including a button to go straight to DVD... on the Polaroid users need to go to input and scroll down to DVD before making the switch). Not to those who are thinking of mounting... the RCA is also much lighter than the Polaroid. The only feature I think the Polaroid has an advantage is a "loose" DVD Region control, which may not be relevant for many consumers reading this. I have been able to watch DVD's from regions other than "1" (North America) on the Polaroid, where the RCA has not played my Region 2 collection. That said, the RCA is a nice TV and I would recommend. (The Polaroid is a good option, but personally- and again, I have both- I think RCA is superior)
Has good picture, good sound and would reccomend this product to anyone looking for TV/Cd combo.
HD is great and the strech feature is something that I use all the time. Would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a TV/DVD combo. Love the built-in DVD makes it so convent. Thanks
I am very pleased with my new RCA flat panel. Picture is very nice, remote is easy to learn and use. Only thing that Iv found is there are NO audio outputs. I would love to hook this TV up to my 5.1 Stereo when viewing the DVDs.
T. V. is very nice. Great Picture. Don't care for the remote. Has no GO BACK feature ( to the other channel you were just watching) Buttons are small.
Picture quality and sound were decent, but the audio and video were out of sync., and that was especially aparent when I used the internal DVD player. To make a long story short, I took back the RCA, and I bought a another brand instead. I would definitely NOT recomend this TV to anyone.
