My hair is so fine that most hair sprays make me look like "helmet hair" or it weighs it down to the point their is no lift. I can curl my hair, apply product, let dry, comb out and just brush my hair out for three days befor I have to wash and reset again! For a person 76 years old this is a miracle product!
I have been buying Redken 23 Forceful hairspray for about ten years. However I am not going to buy it anymore. The new "irresistible" fragrance is totally resistible. It is the most awful smelling overpowering fragrance I have ever encountered in a hairspray. Whoever invented it must have a nasal disorder. No thanks.. don't buy it.. it will make you gag!
Redken Forceful 23 was a great product. But the new fragrance is awful. Smells like aerosol bug killer. As a man, I don't care for extreme flowery fragrances. And it gets worse - Forceful 23 no longer holds hair in place. Another great product ruined by foolish changes! Don't buy Forceful 23!
Besides the almost unbearable strong scent (why do that do this to hair spray?????), this is absolutely ineffective. I tried a good spray all over my hair. Nothing. I mean, it feels like there is absolutely NOTHING in my hair. No hold, just the annoying scent. For the record, I don't use hairspray, but need it for a formal-dressing wedding, when I'll like my hair to be "protected" from wind, etc--it will be outside. I've tried other hairsprays, but none was so absolutely ineffective as this.
