I was replacing a winch which I use to open a heavy Barn door. This winch has power to spare when lifting the door effortlessly. I also use 2 other winches of this model to keep a 3000 pound pontoon boat moored to the dock. A fantastic little winch.
Bought it on sale, Stainless steal. Much better made than the other brand that Walmart sales.
This winch exceeded my expectations. It is so much easier to winch my boat onto the trailer now than with the original winch. This winch is so smooth and the price was unbelievable!
Much bigger than I thought! I have a roller trailer and I can winch the boat up with one finger. Initial quality is 5 stars so if it lasts I'm very happy.
Replaced a winch on an classic boats trailer, looks to be stronger than the one I took off, I also like the fact the winch will look in both directions.
This winch is just as good or better than winches I looked at for 20% - 50% more money, (even this exact winch was much more elsewhere). And shipping was just as economical
completely satitsfied is more than enough strength for a boat
I put this on my trailer to pull a 16 foot Lund. It cranks it in much easier than the original which was rated for 1100 ponds. Installation took 5 minutes. Similar products are $60 at West Marine. I am very happy with this winch.
Bought this as a replacement for the PWC trailer because of the hook type, and that its a (black) belt and its good tensile strength, as well as its very low price. Perfect combo of what i was looking for. I didnt want the cable type winch. Has a nice locking/unlocking mechanism on the gear. Ive seen other winches with more complicated locking systems that just didnt seem 100% safe from unlocking themselves if for whatever reason were to get bumped by something for example. (Im a lil paranoid) Super easy to mount (two bolts)
Bought this for my 16 foot Alumnacraft Backtroller boat and I probably could have gone for a 1200 instead of a 1500, but that isn't offered. Never hurts to be on the sturdier side I guess. It was a little bigger than my last one so I had to drill a hole , but that only took a few moments and wasn't an issue. Nonetheless it is made well and it comes with the strap and hook, and has the 3 way switch which was an improvement over my last winch. I replaced this after my "Name-brand" wore out after many years. The "Name-brand" that I considered re-buying did not include the strap and hook. Whats up with that? You'll probably have to have this sent to the store so keep that in mind when ordering. Took about a week to arrive at the store but well worth the wait if your going to keep your boat for a few years. Well here's to good fishing... and getting your boat out of the water without any winch problems at dusk!
