Been a Walmart client for several years and been purchasing the RELION needles, Blood Test Strips as well Blood Glucose Test meters. Walmart provides an inexpensive way to manage this disease that is costing our country over 150 billion annually (or more if you include other diseases or conditions that are exacerbated by this deadly disease. Not only are the products reliable (no pun intended) but shipment arrived on time. In addition, prior to using Walmart, I would spend a lot more money on these supplies and in my experience, Walmart's products are definitely worth it. Walmart, keep up the great work!
I ordered 3 pieces, the lancet delivering device, the test strips and the lancets -- all ReliOn Prime brand. I have already told several friends/family how remarkably GOOD these items perform and how pleased I am that I tried them and find them equal to other, far more expensive comparable items. This products and all of the necessary components is excellent.
Easy to use, Clean and dispose. Fine needle is nearly painless. I check using my palm below the thumb. This devise makes it easy ti use in alternate sites. The clear attatchment is used for the hand and arm. Simple pick the depth on the device. Press the button for lancing. Then, press down to form a drop of blood to put on the strip for reading. The pieces ate easy to clean.
It took me a minute to figure out how to get the cap off in order to replace the lancet. The ergonomics could be designed a little better. The spring works good. I expect it to last as long as most lancing devices.
My lancing device broke and I needed a replacement. ReliOn Lancing Device was available same day with in-store pickup for a much cheaper price than any I could find on other web sites, which would have to mail it to me. It uses my lancets made by a different manufacturer, as well as many others. Great product and cheap price. Would recommend to a friend.
This product works fine. The only problem is that it is missing a piece that should have been packaged in the box, and was not...the "clear cap". I called the 800 number and they were not able to simply send me the missing piece, but instead said they will send me a gift card to buy the product again, hopefully with missing part included. Took a couple of phone calls to get this information. Still waiting for the gift card.
I recently replaced all my expensive name brand diabetic testing supplies with the ReliOn brand, and am enjoying the cost savings. However, out of all the items (meter, strips, lancets, etc.), the lancing device really suffers from being designed as a low-cost item. The button is extremely hard to press, expecially when the business end is placed against a finger and ready to go. I find that I need to press the back side of the button with a fingernail very stiffly to get it to fire properly. I have 2 of these, and experience the same issues with both. I would have a hard time recommending this lancing device to anyone who wouldn't have the finger strength to push the button.
The lancing device I ordered for a friend arrived quickly, but the box is crushed and extremely torn. How can I give this to someone?
