I have been using an ipad2 16gb for about a year and a half on a daily basis. I was hesitant to buy the 3 or 4 because I really could not see much difference in screen quality to justify the expense. I also was aware that these models tend to run very warm. My ipad2 has always been cool to the touch. Unfortunately, I should have purchased the larger storage space model. So, I ordered the 32gb wifi Air and purchased the added extended warranty. I did a lot of shopping around and for the price the warranty here at Walmart.com seemed to be the best deal offered. Basically everyone, including Apple, is going to give you a refurbished ipad if this one breaks. So Walmart's price of $69 seemed like a bargain. Plus they had free shipping, although it did take about a week to arrive. I'm glad I waited because the ipad Air is simply amazing. The screen quality is breathtaking and it is so light you can hold it in one hand. The speed seems much faster than the ipad2. The addition of the mic on the keyboard (which I use all the time on my iphone) really makes for a great time saver when listing auction items or sending emails. I would have never thought the camera would be necessary but it really does take a nice picture. Incidentally, the Air does not heat up, although it does seems a bit warmer than the ipad2. A comfortable warm, not hot. I must say I am very pleased with my purchase of this 5th production of the ipad.
With out a doubt this TABLET is the absolute best ! ! ! It will in all probability will be my preferred computer for most of my work.....It is small ,light, very FAST and powerful and I just love the "SERI" voice recognition feature...FANTASTIC ! I have just ordered a KEY BOARD case for protecting it....This accessory is an absolute must !
Easy to start up and set up. Enjoyed discovering all the "Apps" that peeked my interests. Make sure to buy a cover that protects the I-pad, due to the smooth finish I have dropped it twice, luckily landing on a blanket. The brightness setting is great for older eyes, and the ability to speak and type is wonderful. I also take it to church and it becomes my Bible with the ability to make notes during the sermon. The I-Pad occupies my hours of alone time, and my biggest regret is that I didn't buy one years ago.
I finally broke down and bought this - one of the best purchases that I've made this year. It's like my iPhone - only bigger. This way I don't have to jump up and work on computer in the late evening. With DropBox I can use it to house all my crochet patterns so I don't have to print them
I am so pleased with this tablet! Had only used a borrowed one before so I am a novice with these. This one more than delivers what it promises. I have not used all the features yet but so far it is excellent. And super fast! I also thank Walmart for the speedy delivery. I ordered on as Sunday night and it was delivered on Tuesday! The iPad is so fast as well. Don't think I'll ever want to use my PC again! Still have Lots of exploring to do with this little guy so time will tell me more. Would highly recommend to anyone now though.
Learning the basics is difficult because there are no simple start up instructions. Everyone tells me I will love it eventually but I haven't reached that point yet. I also found that a lot of the third-party covers and accessories are very poor so be careful what you buy
With the exception of the 2nd generation, I've owned every iPad model and the iPad Air is by far the best. It is smaller, thinner and lighter than I ever imagined with a thinner bezel, a great battery life, and overall seems to be a larger iPad Mini than a small iPad 4!
Apple's latest iPad is lighter, faster (much faster) and more powerful than its predecessors. Some minor memory management issues and frequent crashes, but an expected iOS patch should take care of that. In terms of value, it disappoints - it's Android tablet rivals offer comparable power at significantly lower cost. Here you are paying for the Apple brand. Tip: don't go for the small memory size models; you will be disappointed with performance and storage capacity if you do so.
the iPad does not take a charge and not working I have been contacting the seller for a week now on a return still no reply this was great for a Christmas present for my kid who never got to play with it or use it thanks so much for that (a lot of sarcasm I am very unsatisfied with the product and seller)
This iPad is hideous. This item was delivered to me damaged, it cuts on and off and nah won't cut in at all. Now I'm having the hardest time getting a label to get item returned to the store. I will never purchase from ma third party again however Walmart has been helpful with assisting me with returning this awlful item. I don't want to include any stars but I have to to submit but this gets no stars
