Positives: Refurbished item, but came in perfect condition. Performance is great, the GPU is a beast and will let you max graphics settings in most cases. CPU will be pushed to 70%-100% when gaming, but thermals are good enough to keep it under 80C and prevent it from throttling. Out of the box, the screen colors feel slightly washed out and not as vibrant as I'm used to, but that's easy to fix with color saturation and brightness settings found in the included intel graphics command center, and looks fantastic after. The keyboard has a numberpad, the keys feel good, and the LEDs under are pretty. Chassis feels decently sturdy. Negatives: Fans can get very loud, but this is preferable to bad thermals. The keyboard keys will also get uncomfortably hot when under heavy constant load. Battery life is also rather short, only 5 hours at most, and less than 90m of heavy gaming. And of course, 250gbs storage and single stick of 8gb ram is very small, though easy to upgrade. Expect to spend a bit more to pick up an extra stick of ram down the line when there's a sale to get the most out of it, and have a solution for the storage ready (external, buying more, network drive, etc).

This laptop punches way above its price tag. Bought refurbished for cheaper and the one that came was practically new, a hint of a scratch to see if you have a magnifying glass.
Great looking laptop. Feels great. Too bad I can't use it, as I was given the wrong charger. The actual charger is $75, which would match the price of this laptop brand new.
