It's lite and works great. Not a lot of memory space. But perfect for my job.
for most people, this first bit will suffice: a small laptop that works and the keyboard and trackpad work well, the screen looks good and the performance is ok for the price and adequate for routine things like websurfing. battery life is also very good and reasonable. no issues here. there is a small bug in the system that if left in standby mode when it reawakens it may require a reboot to get the wifi working again, not all the time but the longer in standby mode the more likely it will happen. for the tech savy, read on: I purchased this laptop for a significantly reduced price as a refurbished unit. for the sub $100 price point, it is an absolute bargain. It replaced an aging RCA Viking 10" tablet/keyboard combo running a quadcore baytrail atom/2gb ram/ 32gb ram that I purchased in 2015 for about the same price. the old tablet was running out of disk space as windows continues to update and the old emmc was a slow unit. I had reservations at first going back to a dual core, but the improvements made from the baytrail to the gemini lake refresh platform are significant, and prior to purchase i looked at comparative benchmarks and was surprised to see the astounding performance gains on the new platform. after purchasing and testing this laptop, i am confident I made the right choice to upgrade. the dual core celeron, still atom-based with newer architecture, is much faster than the previous quadcore in daily tasks. this is not my primary laptop but a unit i keep in the living room for casual browsing of internet and for that it works well and the size is perfect for this need. the emmc is 5x faster than the emmc in the 2015 tablet and the 64gb of hdd space is adequate for future windows 10 updates where the 32gb was already a limitation. the 4gb ram is another huge improvement for windows 10 with much less need for pagefiling. this unit is passively cooled and i can't see any heat exhaust ports, but it never feels hot with typical usage, so the cooling is adequate. performance would be improved with better cooling, but this is not the purpose of such a laptop. overall I am very happy with this purchase and as a refurbished unit there were no issues with defects or quality whatsoever. for those who like to geek out with bios options, this unit curiously has a fully adjustable bios, including tpd setting, turbo control, and core control. you don't see this in a mass manufactured laptop. If you don't know what you are doing you will get yourself in trouble quickly, but for those that like to tinker it is a delight. however, the lack of robust cooling and the primary need of the laptop kept me from adjusting the tdp setting for even better performance, as i feel the factory settings are adequate and I doubt there is much headroom in the cooling solution to push the tpd higher. it was fun however to briefly change the cpu into a single core 1.1 ghz unit and see it crawl for a few minutes just for giggles.
Works just as well as new! Purchased for a college freshman. It's a bit smaller than I thought- like notebook sized- but I didn't read the dimensions honestly
worked really well for a while but the screws on the bottom started coming out. sent it back but it's worked really well
It's nice. There's a few scuffs in the top but it's in good shape. It boots up very quickly and loads everything very well. The volume buttons don't work and the no SD cards will stay in the micro SD card slot. If you don't mind a few defects it's a good budget laptop.
4 STARS for good customer service. The guys as VIP Outlet were very responsive to a sound issue with the laptop and offered to refund right away. With refurbished items it's a gamble. Some items are like new, and some will have issues like the sound issue on laptop I bought. So, I was relieved to find that VIP Outlet answered within hours of me contacting them through the Walmart website and gave clear instructions on how to return the laptop. I will return the laptop and purchase another one which hopefully has no issues.
Computer works fine, but as another reviewer mentioned, NO MS Office 365 as advertised. Asked seller to honor and send product key but they gave an excuse (Unfortunately, all laptops and computers no longer come with Microsoft Office/Office 365. This may have been an oversight somehow that inadvertently got mixed up during the shipping process or perhaps an inadvertent mistake in our listing)
It was the first refurbished bought thag had more issues. Computer broke first month kid had it. The program is gateway. It was a waste of purchase.
it did not work out of box would not boot into Windows waste of time and money
Desapointed... This Laptop NEVER TURN ON. I travel overseas with it, neevr work. Iy is just Garbage. And now, send it back is impossible cause here in Ecuador where I am it cost $250 send it to USA. So... Nothing. I lost my money and I had to buy a laptop here where are very Expensive, Thank You Walmart!!!!
