We had it shipped to my house and we took it out of the box and seen it had some damage from shipping . But Walmart is starting behind their products and is sending us a different one . I think the next time we get a big idem like this one we will have it shipped to Walmart and pick it up there , this way if it has some damage they can also see it . Thanks you , Terri W.
My previous Highsense remote works, so I was able to shut off smart mode immediately. If you use iFeel, The unit goes into some kind of pause mode when it reaches the desired temperature, especially if you have âsuperâ turned on. So you have to put it onto fan mode and then turn off iFeel. I have to mess around with the remote. It basically does what it is supposed to do and my previous Highsense unit would only pump out hot air so I could only use it as a fan. No problem with that, iâll stick it in the back room as a fan. I was just disappointed that my original high sense unit didnât work upon delivery, but there was no way to return that. Since then I have learned my lesson and always purchase a service contract. Pros: this is supposed to push out the equivalent of 14,000 BTUs, while in fact using 8500 BTU or so. As long as it keeps my room cool, I have no complaint. Some people have complained about this but this is not an incorrect rating, thatâs how a lot of these portable units are made these days, they save money by being able to service more space with less power. And already my living room is nice and chilly and it has only been turned on for five minutes. Super mode works very well, but that shouldnât be used unless you are turning it on to an already blistering hot room. All of the other functions work, smart, iFeel and Dry. I love the swing mode. The unit was several hundred dollars less than buying it brand new. I always look for a refurbished item whether it is a TV, air conditioner or laptop, which is somewhat of a risk, unless you purchase the service contract, which I did. So if something happens to this unit I can get it dealt with. Finally, I was able to hook this in to my already existing exhaust hose since it was also for a Hisense. And, it's Quiet! Cons: The packaging was very poor and the unit was damaged in its 2000 mile trek to my house. The front of the unit had come loose, I had to pry it off and then reattach it but then it snapped right back into place, no problem. I also had to press reset on the plug, but that worked. The prongs on the plug were bent, but it did in fact have the ground plug. I was able to straighten it out with my hands. Finally, the FedEx truck just dumped it into an inconvenient place and then drove off before I could even get out of my house and ask him to move it into my carport. But these were simply inconveniences. I read the reviews not only for this unit, but for similarly priced 10,000 BTU units made by both Hisense and LG, which are basically exactly the same. I went by the overall five star ratings which were generally more than the one star ratings for this particular unit. With that in mind I thought I had a good chance of getting a good unit, and I did. I donât dismiss the people who put up poor ratings, some of them had legitimate complaints but only a few of them actually complained about a unit that didnât do anything at all which is what I was looking for.

I never write reviews. If something is bad, then think it is just coincidence and I don't want to put down the product further. This time I felt that I had to say something. I received the air conditioner on Friday, July 3 and opened it on Sunday, July 5th. Upon opening it, I noticed that the unit was damaged in several places. The air conditioner is a refurbished unit which means that it was tested and inspected before leaving the factory, but the damage to the unit is unacceptable nor does it seems that it was inspected. The problems are: the casing is cracked open, one of the top vent levers is broken, the drain plug spout is broken, some of the side vents vanes are broken, and the remote control works intermittently. The unit is extremely loud. I don't know if that is because it is internally damaged or if this is an inherent problem to this air conditioner. The item is out of stock now so I will wait to see if I can bear with the noisy air conditioner. The unit seems to be cooling though, not as quickly as I would like. The air conditioner temperature started at 84. After two hours it reads 76 degrees. A room thermometer reads 78 degrees so the difference is close enough. It is 96 degrees outside here though, so I will give it a chance. I love the advertised features and the refurbished price is good, but there are too many problems to consider the unit acceptable. Hisense needs to look into better packing because most of the complaints here are due to damage to the air conditioner upon opening. I will wait and see if this unit comes back in stock to take ONE MORE chance. Otherwise I will look to a different brand. I gave two stars because its cooling, but not as fast as I would like.
My order arrived broken as well. I'm staunchly perturbed because no other products were offered to that would've gotten to my house before Monday. That's one issue the second issue is Wal-mart doesn't have any in-store options nor did they offer me comparable product that would 've arrived faster. Don't get me wrong I am being sent a new machine but now in scared this one will be broken too.
Showed up broken on both sides. The clips on the inside of the front case were broken... no way this happened in transit. This was sent broken right out of certified refurb. Annoying and will NEVER buy this again.
Had broken pieces and did not work properly Returned it Must have been damaged in shipping Ordered online so I wouldn't have to go in during virus but ended up having to go in to return it

I saw some mixed reviews, but ordered anyway. When I got the unit, it was dusty, and there were several broken part. Walmart, you need to fix this now!
Delivered in horrible condition, the box was jacked up when it got here, unboxed unit, unit is literally falling apart, it was delivered by FedEx and looks to have been manhandled profusely. How could yall deliver such a destroyed unit?!?!
