Honestly worth getting. I have an iphone 5 and I wanted to know what it was like to get an ipad. So I bought the 32gb. It has plenty of memory for all my games and pictures. I can search the internet without using an old laptop and not worry about waiting for anything to load up. Definitely worth it
I'm an attorney and the iPad Mini 2 is perfect for the office. It's as if I carry the office in my hand when I go to court. I can load all the files and documents I need on the iPad for the day. With iCloud I can load all of my files. I now have a paperless office thanks to the iPad Mini1
I received the item days earlier than I expected. I love the iPad mini. I have just about chucked my laptop. I previously owned a Kindle Fire HD. I ended up sending it back. Most of the apps that I downloaded for it didn't work or didn't function properly. The IPad is great and the apps are terrific. I love it.
I purchased the iPad Mini with Retina display to primarily use for work, and love the smaller size that the mini offers. I have had a iPad 2 for a number of years and the whole family enjoys using it daily, but it's a little large to travel with on a daily basis. The iPad Mini with Retina has all the same features as the iPad Air, but has been convienetely placed in a smaller package. It's very light weight, the retina display looks amazing, the photo quality makes taking pictures worth using, FaceTime is great for when I'm traveling and can still see the kids clearly, and the A7 processor with the improved wifi makes it much faster than my iPad 2. Apple nailed it with this one!
I'm VERY frugal, so for me to spend money on an Apple product, still seems surprising. I have a smaller Kindle Fire and love it, but last year I wanted a larger device that was more flexible (Kindle's proprietary software doesn't always play nice with other devices and apps). When I saw an iPad's display compared to others, I was hooked. I actually bought one almost a year ago, but in an extremely careless, stupid moment I recently dropped it, shattering the screen. I definitely wanted to replace it with the same device but was still concerned about the cost. There were so many positives to an iPad, the customer service, the ease of use etc. I didn't want to switch to something else. At that time Walmart had an incredible price on it, so buying a new one was almost the same price as replacing the screen. The next morning I bought it online and picked it up 3 hours later at the nearby store. I'll be honest, I don't shop at Walmart often (maybe 4 times a year) but the price and availability for this made it the only choice. The staff at the nearby store was wonderful when I picked it up, so now I do have a lot of good things to say about Walmart. You can find all kinds of reviews for this device, but here's why I bought it. The quality of the screen and pictures is wonderful. The size makes it easy to put in a purse and carry with me. We drove 6,000 miles recently and I used it to take gorgeous photos and then could save them to the iCloud. Thank God for that, as I hadn't done it yet with my latest photos (I dropped it the night we got home) and I thought the 300 pix of the National Parks were lost. But the shattered old one was still capable of working, so I VERY carefully uploaded. It's also quick and easy to send photos or to share to Facebook. The battery lasts a long time. When I've had problems I can contact Apple for help. Granted, sometimes there's been a wait, but they've been really good. Some of the initial "triage" people aren't very helpful, but I kept at it. One quirk with Apple I have to warn you about. I turn off my auto-upload, but on a recent update, those settings default to being back on. So during our trip, I went through almost 2 GB of data a day because I didn't realize it was uploading the hundred+ photos and the videos I was taking! If you don't want that function, make sure you turn it off. As I said, I'm REALLY cheap, but I barely thought twice about buying this device again.
I almost made the mistake of buying this item on Amazon. A friend told me about this at Walmart and I was able to get 32GB for the same price as 16GB elsewhere. Since it was a prize I was giving away, I was thrilled that I was able to get more storage for the same price I was finding elsewhere.
Finally got my iPad Mini with retina display today. Debated between the 16gb and the 1st generation iPad mine 32gb before I decided to get the new 32gb retina iPad mini. Just reading the pros and cons online between the 1st gen and the 2nd gen was the clincher as well as the memory space. With the release of MS office suite for iPad use and its 64bit processing makes it well worth it. I can use Apple's productivity to do the grunt work and use MS app to present it better at work. We're a family of iPhone users and already iPad2 and a 1st gen iPad mini in our house. This one is my own that I can truly use now!!!! Display is awesome as well as the speed you get everything done!!!! Now my wife wants the new iPad Air to replace her old iPad.
This is just simply the best ipad mini ever. and the fact that I ordered it online and it was available in store that same day is simply awesome. I love it.
Super fast, excellent camera, very crisp display, perfect size, if you need larger size go with the IPad Air, any size smaller would be too small ie 7 in display makes no sense, easy to carry around, no finger print sensor is a disappointment, consider Apple raised the mini price by $100, should pack more features, Oh well that's Apple, wait for the next version. Another disappointment, no SD card slot, having said that the minimum memory size should be 32G instead of 16G since Apple raised the price by $100
I am extremely happy with the product. I was very disappointed, however, with how Walmart packaged this tablet. This Ipad cost $500.00, and it was delivered in a cheap little bubble pack envelope. Product seems to have made it through the shipping process unscathed, but I feel that Walmart should be using a more secure packaging when dealing with expensive items.
