I have an average yard, it takes about 40 minutes to mow nicely. This mower will mow through heavy grass, and is so easy to use. I use the mulch as I do not bag my clippings, and it is so easy to start, just hold the button and pull back the lever. The battery took extra time the first time it charged, I think that batteries need to be mostly discharged for the first use, and after the first use the battery charged beautifully every time after that. I know my neighbors won't admit it, but they are jealous that I don't have to buy gas, have it tuned up, and all that hassle. And I take my battery in after each use and recharge it in my basement. Love this mower.
Best investment I have made for my lawn. The Remington mower has a 19 inch cut which is great for a small to medium lawn. The quality is excellent. The wheels are big enough to roll over my rough and bumpy yard. I especially like that I can remove the battery, which is 30 pounds, and take it into the house for charging and winter storage. I can mow for an hour without discharging the battery. This is a quality heavy duty mower. Super Happy!
It was very easy to put together. I did call for help on the battery when i first got it. The person on the phone was more then helpful. It did take 24 hours to charge up the battery. There are lights on the battery that you can see from the rear of it. Three (3) green lights lets you know it is fully charged. Once that was done, all there was left was to cut the grass. To adjust the height of the cutting, there is "only" one lever on the rear right side. That sets all four (4) heels at the same time. The handle you hold onto when cutting the grass can be adjusted (by a couple on inches) and it is real easy to assemble.
Loved this mower when I got it 5 months ago. However, the battery no longer charges and I can't mow my yard. At all. I have let the battery discharge to nothing and then let it charge for 3 full days. It only got a small charge and not even enough to mow a tiny patch a grass. The mower is great; the battery is awful!!
HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THIS MOWER TO START, WILL NOT FULLY CHARGE, HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING TO START IT. WONDER IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS BRAND OF MOWER?
I had one of these and its precursor, the Troy-Bilt version. The battery on the Troy-Bilt failed after a dozen uses, I waited 7 months for a replacement, that failed in about the same time, the company provided one of these Remingtons as a make-good (essentially the same model, I think), and that third and final battery failed in about...drum roll...a dozen uses. Takeaway: Get a cordless from another company.
Bought this lawnmower and charged it right away. It charged fine was able to cut my front yard which is about 10 x 10. Had 1 green light left so I put it back on the charger for about 10 hours. Well the next time I went to use it the battery was not charged at all. Not sure if I just got a bad battery. I loved the lawnmower but I dislike the fact that u cant tell if the battery is charging while its on the charger. Was very disappointed....
I was so excited to get this mower. I am a single lady living in the country. I took the charger and battery out first and started charging the battery. Then I went to the assembly of the mower. So far so good. I realized that the height adjustment on the wheels wasn't working. I tightened a wheel and then saw that a weld that held the wheel to the height adjustment was broken. Please understand that I am out in the country and returning this is going to be a huge hassle. Walmart will get it back fully assembled and I will bring the box.. No way I am taking it apart and putting it back in the box. I am not happy!
Battery doesn't last, no power
The FedEx delivery time was reasonable, and the box seemed to be just fine. But somewhere along the way the mower had been crunched in such a way that the height adjustment lever-system was bent and the handle base supports were out of alignment. I only discovered it when trying to put it together and wondered why it didn't go according to instructions! I have yet to charge it and use it. Disappointed buyer.
