The vendor called me to ensure the shipping address was correct and I had this unit the next morning. I dug out all of my old games, set it up and was playing Dr Mario in no time. It even was able to use the original Nintendo controllers and Duck Hunt guns. It is a great little unit and works perfectly. The only problem I encountered was that Duck Hunt has a hard time recognizing shots due to a flat screen tv setup. No glass to refelect the shots but everything else is perfect.
I got is today came sooner then they said.I ran around 25 games through it so far and i only had 1 that did not load I will have to clean it and try again a lot of the games I picked up at auctions.I have around 100 games and no unit they want outrageous prices for a real NES but i am not into just showing it off I want to play. THIS IS A GREAT DEAL and they work great.
This unit works great! Well worth the under $20 price tag. Due to the NES Classic Mini being impossible to get, I attempted to fix my 30 year old original NES by replacing the 72-Pin connector to enjoy 8-bit gaming. I was unable to get the original NES to work so, I took a gamble and tried out this unit and have been thoroughly pleased. All my games work great and I've logged some serious hours already. Best part about this system is you can plug your original controllers into it. The unit itself is super light and to some people could feel cheap, however, I think it's fine, I mean, it's under $20 so you shouldn't expect the same thick plastic from the original NES. The classic 8-bit sound is a tad off, but I really only noticed it while playing Megaman. To me, it's a very small negative aspect. In summation, great product, great price.
Having so much fun playing old classics. Every cartridge seems to work nicely on the machine. The machine is super compact and easy to setup. Only negative is having all the wires... kinda awkward for our living room and have had kids trip over them. Otherwise, great buy.
I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The system plays MOST games, not all games. And it usually plays them on the first try, I do however clean all the games before hand. It does feel very cheaply made, but it does what its supposed to do. I like the controllers as well, they work great and have a very nice feel to them. They even have turbo buttons. It uses regular av cables so you can plug it right into your flat screen. It is compatible with the Zapper light gun, but be warned, the guns are not compatible with HD televisions.
Cheaper than the original Nintendo, making it quite affordable. Just as easy to play, so great for the younger kids. Small and lightweight, doesn't take up any space.
The retro Nintendo was a surprise Christmas gift to my husband. We have many cartridges and weren't able to play them. The only thing that we have a problem with was the cartridge didn't always work when inserted and hard to release it. My husband got a qtip and some vaseline and rubbed it on the cartridge terminals both sides and works much better now. Also I see the price is half the amount I paid for it. Mine was $30.00 plus shipping was$17.00! But I wanted it here in time for Christmas so I didn't care about the shipping cost. Overall my husband is pleased to play the old Mario games and we love to challenge each other playing othello.
Pretty fun to play I like playing the old Mario games from when I was a kid. But the playback is kind of more of a red tint than I remember but for only 20 bucks, it's worth it.
I couldn't get anything with it. Nothing worked! Waste of money.
Waited several months to finally try it and straight of the box it doesnt work at all. The card inside wasnt aligned with the opening for the cartridges. I could move it so that I could insert the carts, but nothing but static on the screen. Complete waste of money. I shoulda tested it sooner so I could return it. My bad. Guess I should known it was too good to be true.
