I tried using the straightener part, but it catches your hair and pulls! it doesnt close all the way when straightening and the "cool tips" get very hot. I do not recommend buying this!

THIS IS THE WORST STRAIGHTENER I HAVE EVER USED!!!!! I thought I would really like this because it is both a straightener and a curling iron, however I hate it. It took me over an hour to straighten my hair and it usually only takes about 20 minutes. The curling iron part is okay but I have used better. The flat iron does not shut tight enough to do the job. All it does is make my hair hot. I am taking this back to the store ASAP.

I guess you get what you pay for. I thought I had found such a good deal when I found a curling iron and flat iron in one!! The first time I used it I thought "I guess I will have to get used to this". Well it has been about 5 months and I still haven't been able to straighten my hair with this stupid thing. The curling part works just fine. If I had just bought a curling iron I would be pleased, but since I bought it primarliy to be used as a flat iron, I was/ am very disappointed with it.

I only had this iron for a month and used it 3 times. The piece that holds the handle together fell apart when the plastic pin that holds the two main pieces broke. Of course, I don't have the receipt to return it either. I really thought I was purchasing a good product when I saw the Revlon name on it. Very disappointed!

it broke as soon as we opened the product, never even got to plug it in to try. A small spring and another small black piece just fell out.

My aunt gave this to me as a birthday gift i believe a few years ago. In hardly no time the little snap that holds the straighter closed while its being used as a curling iron had broken. I had to hold it together with an elastic band on the handle. The straightener does not really do anything either. It just plows over the hair and leaves it basically the same.

I thought this would be good for me because I have fine hair and I needed it to curl under after I straightened it. It took three tries to get the hair somewhat straight and the curling iron part didn't work very well. When you try to straighten your hair, it doesn't close very well which is why it probably took so many times. If I can get the stupid thing back in the plastic contraption it came in, it's going back to the store!
