My new multi-purpose cotton fabric!

This is very nice muslin fabric. I purchased 6 yards to make a couple sheer panels for our bedroom windows. I needed them to coordinate with our linen and spice colored and curtains I thought the regular unbleached muslin would be too light-colored. Also wanted something less see-through than regular sheers or cotton voile panels, but still airy. This fabric is the perfect weight, texture and color. I like that it is cotton. I preshrunk the fabric, cut it in half, hemmed, and made a pocket at the top. Easy-cheesy. I used one 3-yard panel per window to filter afternoon light and for privacy. No need to even hem the side selvage seams. The fabric had minimal wrinkling out of the dryer--not like some muslin that comes out of the dryer in a big ball. This would also be great fabric for underlying garments, or for dolls, crafts, historical costumes, or any number of projects. I will be purchasing more of this lovely, vintage-looking, fabric.
