My 3 year old escape artist was able to reach the door lock in pur apartment %26 the bolt lock. Our local police officer found him outside running around the complex. I was only upstairs 30 seconds but that was plenty of time. I had to come back %26 get a 2nd one after he got out French Doors as well
These have put a stop to my 1 year old entering every room of the house wreaking havoc.
they stick really well. I have tried to remove them but i think they are a permanent fixture now. No longer the days of crotch monsters going into the bathroom to create an indoor waterpark.
Love it. My son elopes so this was heavensent for me. Be mindful of this lock when you're leaving your home and locking up though. Can be abit tricky.
A chain lock wouldn't stay screwed into our fiberglass front door, and it was scary that our 2 year old could escape. This has been a brilliant deterrent and kept our toddler safely indoors.

Love it! Very sturdy! Maintenance tried to come into my home without a notice and couldn't get the door open because I had to the lock on it. Even with the door unlocked they couldn't get in. If it can withstand two large men trying to open the door, it definitely can handle toddlers/children. BUY IT!!
This was a great choice!! I used the reg door knob covers. Then we moved to a new house, and it has these type handles, so i had to get new door safety. These are amazing. Wish my old house had these handles bc knob covers didn't work as well as these handle locks. 100% buy it.
It worked great keeping the toddlers safely in the room unable to open the door %26 escape onto the balcony. However when it comes time to remove it strips the paint off the wall. Would not suggest using at hotel rooms etc
Purchased the 2 pack for our front and back doors. Our 21 month old is tall enough now to open the doors. We have keyless locks and he likes to try to push the buttons, so is always opening the door to try to play with them. We have it turned the other way so we don't have to have it “locked” all the time, as he isn't tall enough to push the handle upward enough to get it open, but also, the angle to squeeze the release buttons and push down the flap is slightly awkward in the pictured mounting and I find I have to use both hands in order to get the flap down far enough to open the door. For now this works well as we don't have to keep the deadbolts locked and he's not letting himself or our dogs out. Hopefully this current fascination ends soon!
